I have been working at Lego Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Senior/Corporate leadership team is very sincere and not pretentious.
Nice work/life balance: as a FT salaried SM, I average 40-43 hrs. weekly.
They promote diversity, especially pushing for more women in top leadership positions.
    Generous employee discount: 50% off
    Family-owned company (Denmark)
Passionate DM's that encourage store teams to have fun at work!
This is a job where you truly get paid to play with LEGO all day!

    Cons

Daily you witness bad parenting: those who drop their kids off at our store and disappear for several hours.
    Urine accidents
    The occasional rude customer

    Advice to Management

    None.

I worked at Lego Group part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

One of the more fun part-time jobs I worked. Nice co-workers and environment. Very busy during the Holiday season, but makes the shifts go by quick. Easy work during school.

    Cons

A lot of tourists in the area, so it's sometimes hard to communicate effectively. Still fun to meet a lot of different people though.

    Advice to Management

    No advice. Standard retail environment.

I worked at Lego Group (More than 10 years)

    Pros

World class mission, vision, product, values and employees.

    Cons

Some gender bias and remote leadership is common. However, if you are a strong performer and willing to travel to Denmark and London frequently, your opportunities increase.

    Pros

    Great benefits, casual work environment.

    Cons

Very white, very straight, very male.

    Advice to Management

Embrace diversity of thought, background, and gender by creating an inclusive culture rather than by forcing all the square pegs into round holes.

I worked at Lego Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Exciting product line and enthusiastic, energetic management team. One of the best marketing teams that I have ever worked with (doesn't hurt that they have the best product in the world).

    Cons

Growing pains in China due to the ultra-fast growth, which is great for revenue but is a struggle for the team to keep up with. LEGO is a very mature, well managed company but working in China is more like being in a startup, on top of dealing with big culture difference.

    Advice to Management

Continue effort to cascade authentic LEGO culture to China. While it is important to understand China, it is more about how the culture is changed, rather than changing the lovely, familial feel that is evident elsewhere in the world.

    Pros

I learn something new every day and I get challenged all the time. Great colleagues and fun environment. Good benefits.

    Cons

Work load is high, change is constant and salary is medium to low. Little vacation - 3 weeks to start with and 4 weeks after 10 years.

    Pros

Very fun internal agency with incredible cross-channel opportunities, great benefits, high-tech, edgy work, international travel.

    Cons

Not the greatest area to live near, difficult to get promoted, the rules don't apply to everyone in the same way.

I have been working at Lego Group (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible Hours. Able to stay on even after getting office job, although that might be up to store manager/district manager discretion. Good 401k for the job.

    Cons

Probably like any retail, the clean up isn't the most fun, but with the right group of people it can go by fast.

You gotta be able to plan your time off so you aren't in a panic when you are scheduled.

    Advice to Management

Literally best managers I have ever worked under.
