    Pros

Great people, lots of work to keep you busy. No day is the exact same.

    Cons

Not a lot of documentation on process. Lots of assumptions are made as to how things should be. Very political. Lots and lots of personal agendas get in the way of getting work done efficiently.

    Advice to Management

Align the business goals to those of the parent company and communicate that expectation down to the employees.

I worked at Lehigh Hanson full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Large company with opportunities if you're willing to consider relocating.

    Cons

Poor communication across the company and within the same department. We were acquired by them over the past year and the transition could have went more smoothly if there was communication across their various departments and if they listened to our suggestions instead of making incorrect assumptions on a lot of transferred information that later required correction.

    Advice to Management

Must foster improved communication across and within all departments and locations.

    Pros

Pay is decent and that's about it

    Cons

No growth opportunities, management has elitist attitudes. They will cuss you out and get in your face with fingers. You are nothing to them. They are also not concerned with safety.

    Advice to Management

Learn that you are not a dictatorship but are there to support the people that help you do your job. Learn to be leaders by influence.

    Pros

IT is very state-of-the-art. A lot of sharp people, who seem to be much younger than the industry average Compensation is very competitive. Strong feeling of job security. Company has been growing at a good speed and made several large acquisitions which they have successfully integrated.

    Cons

Due to the size of the company, there has is naturally a large amount of reporting and a fair amount of bureaucracy. Not much company spirit or enthusiasm. Lehigh North corporate environment is a bit sleepy.
