    Very competitive salaries, great benefits packages, great work/life balance, ample opportunities for growth and development

    Cons

    Aggregates industry has a steep learning curve. However, Hanson will take the time to train and prepare new hires.

    I have been working at Lehigh Hanson full-time

    Pros

    -as a retiree from a different company I find it an interesting business and a new challenge
    -good working group that tries to do what is right and very dedicated and committed to success

    Cons

    -needs improvement on putting all key metrics together in one format

    Advice to Management

    I have mentioned to management that I have never worked with a group of people to get along so well. Their is little friction (mostly) between ops and maint. Plant Manager needs to be the team working together

    Pros

    Good pay, good exposure. They are flexible on sick days but there could be challenging since its up to manager decision. Work life balance therefore could be affected.

    Cons

    Lack of flexibility
    10 days PTOs are hard to keep up with the market.
    Benefits are good but can do better.

    Advice to Management

    Revise the PTO policy to pertain talents. Need more team building activities to promote engagement.

    Good benefits. 401k matching is great. Company focuses a lot in process improvements.

    Cons

    Hard for promotion due to favoritism in the department. Leave for this reason.

    Pros

    Flexible hours, responsive boss, overall decent quality of life, but I am a salary employee.

    Cons

    Office is too quiet, building is older and elevators occasionally fail or sewer backs up.

    You need management training and more team builders.
