I have been working at Lehigh University (Less than a year)

    Pros

Freedom to pursue whatever interests you, very flexible work hours (I went on vacation for 2 weeks and worked from my computer without anyone realizing), fun environment

    Cons

No one is there to push you, so if you slack off, you will get nothing out of the experience

I have been working at Lehigh University part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pretty easy job where you get to make a bit of extra cash while being a student. Pretty straightforward gig, not nearly as involved as a TA

    Cons

Can be a lot of work depending on the semester. Also, your busiest time as a grader coincides with your busiest time as a student, can be tough.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Online paysheets are the future, so keep doing that.

I have been working at Lehigh University part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

supervisor are nice and smart and he is willing to teach. as long as you are willing to learn, there are plenty of opportunities

    Cons

nothing I can really think of. Maybe salary is a bit low but, I'm just doing it as a student so nothing i can really complain

I worked at Lehigh University full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Plenty of academic resources, first class labs, access to literature and cultural life. HR staff is very helpful and in recent years the university has implemented wellness program and training that enhances employees lives.

    Cons

Academic life can be isolating, which each professor focused exclusively in his/her work collaborations are rare and far between. Also compensation is subpar when compared to industry.

I have been working at Lehigh University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I get to talk to lots of people, make lots of new friends and connections and get lots of helpful advise as a student

    Cons

The amount of credits per class for engineering students is not weighted fairly. A student could have no class on Fridays and 18 credits in the business school whereas and engineering student with 18 credits has to work their butt off from 8-4 everyday.

    Advice to Management

Lehigh is a greatly run school, I believe that wifi on the hill should be improved, transportation during the weekends and to goodman campus should be better established.

I worked at Lehigh University (Less than a year)

    Pros

    good people to work with

    Cons

academic salaries in anything except engineering or business are uncompetitive; disastrous record in recruiting upper administration for over 15 years

    Advice to Management

make better use of faculty expertise in hiring upper administration instead of paid consultants
