I worked at Leisure Care full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Amazing team of people to work with who are pros at their craft - Fun team events to build camaraderie and keep up morale - Leadership often gives paid time off on holidays and encourages team to give back to their community and spend time with family - You get paid to give back to your community - Collaborative, productive, exciting, and caring environment to work with

    Cons

    - It's easy for someone to be disgruntled because we are so often spoiled here that it creates a sense of entitlement

    Advice to Management

Move the gorgeous offices to a basement and stop letting employees off early on holidays so people realize how lucky they are to work for a place like One Eighty | Leisure Care.

I worked at Leisure Care full-time

    Pros

Good location with easy bus access. Some interesting people. Good health benefits. Average pay. The COO seems like a nice guy who wants to make a difference... yet he is naive enough to share any concerns that are brought up to his attention with his fellow managers and those executive "leaders" within their mean girls' club twist and spread rumors like a wildfire.

    Cons

The office space looks like a flashy exhibit where you are constantly on display and under the bright lights. It can be loud and hard to concentrate. The company likes to tout its Three Thirds Lifestyle which may be somewhat achievable in some departments yet in in some others the assigned workload makes it impossible to practice that so called lifestyle. There are semi-mandatory social events and you'll get chastised...

    Advice to Management

If you think employee morale is good, that means you are not looking deep enough. Don't spend so much energy trying to convince us this is a good place to work and ask us instead. Establish a channel for anonymous feedback. Create a functioning HR department that doesn't have to report to an executive who loves to gossip herself (remember that it all comes back to us eventually). Show some respect to our monthly deadlines...

I worked at Leisure Care full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Pros: the actual team at the community level is mostly great people just beware of the “kool aid” drinkers.

    Cons

This company is a joke. I got to see a community go from good to bad. When Leisure Care took over they were quiet about what changes would come. Once the change happened I got to see the ugly side of corporate. The corporate sales team is a joke and is so close minded, judgmental, and not personable. They literally talked about “drinking the kool aid” and prefer brain washable sales people. If you are experienced and...

I have been working at Leisure Care part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free meals AND THE RESIDENTS ARE ACTUALLY NICE AND UNDERSTANDING

    Cons

I don’t feel like there’s a ton of options for the residents. We have a main menu and 2 specials but we have one soup. We used to have 2 different soups a day but now we don’t. Idk my bosses are usually really cranky all the time something is always wrong or added to my sidework making me stay longer than normal. Last night I had my boss yell at my coworker for eating soup crackers (he felt lightheaded) for not starting...

I worked at Leisure Care full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This company takes care of their residents

    Cons

The company cares a lot of the residents needs!

    Advice to Management

Talk to the caregiver workers who have been there for 10+ years about being a team instead of acting like they are the boss and being rude.

I worked at Leisure Care full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Residents and the co-workers and meals.

    Cons

Despite providing services for the senior population, they detest older, tenured employees.

    Advice to Management

Stop creating "special assignments" and promoting tenured staff to new positions and then eliminating their job. Most have caught on to this method of operation and it's litigation ripe in the making.

I worked at Leisure Care full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Beautiful office, wonderful employees in the office and the field.

    Cons

Upper management are highly unprofessional and gossip flows freely. Two distinct floors- one floor has all the workers, the other floor is for the pretty folks who don't appear to be working. Too many happy hours- the workers on the accounting floor don't always have time to stop and drink midday. Top executive has been known to not care what the workers are feeling, just as long as the work keeps flowing. Jeans day...
