I have been working at Lend Lease full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Career opportunities within the Washington Area. There is opportunity among a wide variety of jobsites (residential, office, school, lab) that are usually available if you talk with management about placement onto thos jobs.

    Cons

Benefits vary. Many great programs (Summer hours with early leave on Fridays) but only available to those working out of the head office, not usually extended to the jobsites. Leave/PTO programs favor those countries with general cultural acceptance of work/life balance, not within the US. For example, parental leave favors AU or european areas vs. the US. Expect to work up 6 days a week at least once a month if on a jobsite. Some may have periods of 6-7 days every week, though rare.

I have been working at Lend Lease (More than a year)

    Pros

Work on very big projects and gain a lot of experience. Good salary and benefits and they really try to develop their workers.

    Cons

Work at least 50 hours a week usually, some saturdays. Sometimes work as much as 70-80 hours a week. Some workers don't take blame for things that are their fault, like to point fingers.

    Advice to Management

recognize when workers are overworked and try to help. Recognize those who are doing a good job.

I worked at Lend Lease full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lendlease is an great company to work for. I would not have left if it weren't for the fact that I moved across the country. The company truly cares about it's employees and it's communities. They have community day, LGBT resource groups, stress reduction classes, and an amazing Christmas party each year. I'm sure it depends on where you work, but my management was awesome and incredibly supportive. More importantly, the people are what makes this place. Everyone is very friendly and supportive of each other. There is very little "office politics" as compared to other places I've worked.

    Cons

A little "behind the times". Need to add more collaboration spaces, some "play" areas and be more open to remote work. - they ARE working on it though.

    Advice to Management

From my perspective (again, I'm sure it depends on what area you work in), just keep on doing what you are doing. It is great to see management that cares about you and your career path.

    Pros

Well respected and great people to work with . They supply the tools and training for success. Great advancement opportunities

    Cons

Sometimes the work schedule can get out of balance and taking time off can feel awkward. No vehicle or gas card is provided, so you have to take in consideration your gas, miles and maintenance
