    Insurance premiums keep going up

    Advice to Management

Look at how miserable your lowest-rung workers are. No wonder you get bad press.

I worked at Lender Processing Services full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Interesting work
    Great co-workers
    Good location
They gave employees severence pay in recent lay off. Not many companies do that these days.

    Cons

Advancement opportunities depend on who likes you. There is too much favoritism and many 'cliques'. Mangment gossips and talks about each other.

Little job security. People who worked hard and were loyal to the company during a recent business model transition were subsequently laid off.

Low wages and no increases. People went years without raises. Bonuses, health care, time off and benefits are often cut.

No ongoing training and development of managment teams.

    Advice to Management

Work with your supervisors and mangers to give them ongoing training and support. Don't just promote people, then throw them into the deep end to see if they can swim.

Value your employees and demonstrate that value by paying them better and offering more job security. The company used to focus on promoting from within and recognizing long-term employees. Return to that model. Get rid of the 'treat every day like it's a job interview' mentality. That creates stress and back stabbing in the workplace.

I worked at Lender Processing Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

co-Workers are nice. Hours somewhat flexible.

    Cons

No telecomuting. ESPP and 401K matching are NO longer (though that is not what posted on the website. Healthcare benefits poor. TimeOff limited to 2 weeks. Frozen wages. Yearly performance appraisals to be given in Jan-Feb given in April-May (but with no pay increases... whats the point). I hear of people there for years with less than 3%/year salary increase. People leaving in droves.

    Advice to Management

I know you are getting the company ready for sale -- but at whose expense?

    Pros

The non-management employees - There were some really cool people that worked there. Until they laid them all off.
    Easy work.

    Cons

Low Pay, Benefits - Especially the health insurance!, Managers and AVP play favorites - If you are not one of the favorites, you are nothing there.

    Advice to Management

Clean house with the AVPs and Managers. Don't let them micromanage so much. You cannot expect supervisors to do good jobs when their managers and AVPs shoot down every idea they have! Bring back the good benefits...a happy employee is a productive employee. Quit hiding and lying to people...people are not stupid. You say that you are done with layoffs...then 2 weeks later, you layoff another huge group. Way to keep up employee morale!

    Pros

Easy going atmosphere; Work is challenging but rewarding. Management is very informative and helpful. Company is expanding due to the work load. Values match with everyday people and are present in every workplace

    Cons

Odd hours for certain jobs. As bankruptcy handlers work can be a little depressing.

    Advice to Management

Try to be more accommodating to employees wishes.

I worked at Lender Processing Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Regular schedule with comparable pay, bonuses, paid vacation and sick time, and a retirement plan with company-matched contributions. Also, this is an excellent job for someone who wishes to keep their work and personal lives separate.

    Cons

Entry-level position is learned easily without much emphasis placed on employee development. My experience was that departmental management was rather top-heavy with a great deal of redundancy in managerial tasks.

    Advice to Management

More resources should be focused on training new hires. Additionally, I do not feel as though input from loan-level employees is valued or evaluated when making decisions regarding software changes and updates.
