I worked at Lenders Asset Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers, "Family" environment, Management team, Personal and professional growth opportunities.

    Cons

Office location changed which drastically impacted work commute. No consideration of previously approved arrangements created a negative impact on workers and morale.

    Advice to Management

Try to understand specific individual needs and recognize talent and abilities, rather than taking a inflexible stance. Better to retain a valuable employee than lose them.

    Pros

Small company with a family feel, friendly environment with good people, lots of visibility and recognition for good work, reasonable opportunity for growth.

    Cons

Technical leadership was incompetent. Lots of inefficiencies with easy resolutions not explored for largely political reasons. Lots of wasted effort.

    Advice to Management

Get a competent CTO with a proven track record of successfully leading a software development team, and improve communication among upper management.

  3. "Very negative environment to work in, very stressful, pushed to limit and never rewarded or compensated properly."

    Pros

Great people worked there and gave there all. LAMCO attempted to start up activities to enhance culture. Family feel amongst the employees but not with management.

    Cons

Management was very disorganized. They would lay someone off with a drop of a hat. They used there employees talents with given proper compensation and did not value their workforce. Very negative environment.

    Advice to Management

Value and respect your employees and manage properly.
