    Pros

Great Benefits, Amazing Bonus plan, use of the corporate jet was nice. Had flexibility in work location, but sometimes that was a bad thing.

    Cons

Management was horrible. This is a good old boys club, and it is run like a traditional American company from the 80s. Gifts and trips are considered OK, Dinners and Drinks with suppliers are expected. Don't challenge or question anything.

    Advice to Management

Very talented people, but since the product line is old and stodgy, there is no reason for the company to be run like the same way.

I worked at Lennox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary only. If it weren't for that it would be miserable.

    Cons

Upper management stupidity. Too many chiefs doing the same thing. Zone managers have no clue as the technical side of the industry.

    Advice to Management

Fire yourselves and save whats left of the bottom line.

I have been working at Lennox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people dedicated to making the best out of a bad environment

    Cons

    questionable and lack of leadership

    Advice to Management

Do some studies on moving resources to India - budget should not be the only deciding factor - the company is growing but OPx is staying flat. You have a great deal of single point s a failure, most are people. Develope a 1/3/5 year IT plan - basic stuff.

    I worked at Lennox full-time

    Pros

small town, small group, flexibility of schedule, pay

    Cons

Hired at a senior level, but allowed to make no decisions, invited to meetings and then not asked to talk or allowed to make suggestions. I was told I was not the correct gender, and I was isolated for that, and for not joining the "management club" as well as taking up for poor treatment of the union personnel. Financials are not communicated and they are moving operations to Mexico while other corporations are bringing manufacturing back to the US. If you work for Lennox, and in a male dominated career field, I suggest keeping your mouth shut or working an off shift until the communist die off or find another job.

    Advice to Management

Spend money to invest in the people and get into the 21st Century, otherwise, move all your operations to Mexico and get out of the US, quit claiming to be an American company, and go buy another yacht while the American worker seeks out a smaller house and bankruptcy.

I worked at Lennox full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pros? Ok, the management team are pros at being thick as whale omelets.

    Cons

    You name it:

    Obtuse management
    Unreasonable
    Disrespectful
    Arrogant
    Petty
    Dishonest
Arbitrary in rule making and enforcement
I could go on and on....

This company is almost a parody of corporate dimwitted stereotypes. As an employee you are bombarded with a bewildering array of contradictory and dense office politics. In the group that I worked in, it appeared as though HR went out of their way to find the most obsessive compulsive, unreasonable, and borderline psychotic people with a low IQ, and then thought it would be a hoot to put these people in charge of a group of a hundred or so agents. I literally cannot bash this turd of a company enough. Sorting bobcats would be a less stressful and painful job than tolerating these imbeciles for more than an nanosecond. With that in mind, five years there was an eternity of Hellish torment with mentally challenged demons dreaming of the most stupid and childish ways to torment us as find new ways to make the job more difficult. I actually begun to believe that I had died and this was my Hell. So, after years of drug and PTSD therapy I am almost starting to mentally heal.

Flee this company, run don't walk...Even if you have been unemployed for years on end and living under a bridge with alcoholic sex offenders; it's not worth it!

    Advice to Management

A waste of time....They only listen to the voices in their heads that tell them they are God.

I have been working at Lennox full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Only if you truly are in a difficult position financially and have no choice

    Cons

Dramatic cuts of personnel with experienced colleagues well liked by customers pushed out the door.
Result is loss of market share and overall credibility in the industry. The majority of the Sales People are not experienced in the industry and are not known by the clients.Technically experienced and trained clients prefer to deal with their peers and not with inexperienced sales people with a liberal arts background or not even a university degree. As a result the company continues to lose market share.

    Advice to Management

Look outside for talent in management , keep experienced well educated staff

I have been working at Lennox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits but not very good ones

    Cons

No advancement, when production is shut down, you either take vacation if you have it or take a day off w/o pay. Awful management. Brag about caring for their employees but that's a farce, only care about the bottom dollar and the upper management bonuses.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees right, let employees advance. Make unproductive employees accountable, too many things are looked over with the saying "it's always been like that".

I have been working at Lennox full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

There are a few people who genuinely care for others. If you are lucky enough to work for one of them, it is at least bearable for awhile.

    Cons

The company practices a culture of blame, particularly in IT and Engineering. When problems inevitably arise in a project, management insulates themselves and concentrates on identifying a scapegoat. If you enjoy lots of overtime and travel away from home, with very little thanks in return, then this could be for you. Almost all of the growth in IT and Engineering is occurring in India, very little stateside except for replacing those who quit.

    Advice to Management

Take ownership. Management is more concerned with sacrificing those that work for them than identifying and correcting the real issues.

    Pros

They don't track vacation or time-off in IT so many employees benefit by the lack of oversight in this area,

    Cons

Low pay - raises are usually 1 to 2 % per year if you are lucky. IT management are out of touch with what's happening in the rest of the IT world. IT jobs being moved to India as fast as they can move them. Most systems are old and out of date - needing to be upgraded but can't get approval for upgrades because lack of funding.

    Advice to Management

IT Exec management needs to be re-organized and changes made. They are all long time IT employees who have never worked anywhere else and have no idea what's happening in the rest of the IT world.
