    Pros

Good people & quite a positive environment
Trying to change with the winds of change in IT technologies (Agile, Cloud, Biz-IT vs IT standalone)

    Cons

Long tenures of people resistant to change
Promotions mostly based of merit but heavily leaning on longer tenures
Lots of islands of knowledge/single man skill sets; hard to get it out of them for benefit of the company

I have been working at Lennox (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing company culture. Friendly and aggressive toward healthy living.

    Cons

Same as all of America. The company is managed for Wallstreet. This causes organizations to lose sight on long term sustained growth and employee relations.

    Advice to Management

Although Wall street focuses on constant growth don't forget businesses experience ups and downs. Down times are great opportunities to attract key people from competitors. Staff your support team to service your sales.

I have been working at Lennox full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good people to work with throughout the company. The company is growing and continues to expect growth as the economy continues to rebound.

    Cons

Very sales driven, with very little input from the field operations team. Senior management has an agenda that doesn't always mesh with reality in the field.

    Advice to Management

Separate Distribution and Sales, with different executives over each who then report into the CEO. That makes the functions peers versus one always trumping the other.

I have been working at Lennox full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

New job challenges every day, be able to qualify new technologies, great engineering team, a learning center available and other resources to be able to increase knowledge on areas of interest. There are a lot on groups within Lennox that help employees know people from different areas of the company by organizing activities within and outside campus, promotes community service and also minorities, and many more.

    Cons

One of the challenges and an opportunity for Lennox is to have a better training process, currently is it an on the job/mentor learning process, which could be improve. The company is already working on processes to make this easier for new employees and mentors.

    Advice to Management

I love the engineering management team, they are very open and willing to receive and evaluate input from every single employee of the platform. Keep going that way and this will keep employees engaged and willing to bring new and more ideas to the table!
