I have been working at Lenovo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Co-workers are great. It is a very young environment so there is a lot of energy on the sales floor. Most of the managers are really good and flexible. They understand a work life balance. They do fun events and are always trying to keep the culture new and fresh

    Cons

Moving to the field is difficult. The inside team likes to keep talent to long and it hurts career progression on employees that want to move up.

    Advice to Management

Empower your employees to look into career advancement. Some manager are mirco-managers and need to understand our jobs are stressful and we do not need them making it worse

I have been working at Lenovo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Work life balance as needed; some people are really good to work with; can get a glimpse into what's coming from key players

    Cons

Bureaucracy at every level; new organization changes 1-2 times a year; some really terrible people work here that you just can't fathom how they even function in life

    Advice to Management

    Stop all of the reorganizations

I have been working at Lenovo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Lenovo offers an entrepreneurial environment that promotes free thinking and exploring new ways to get the job done. Leadership supports new ideas and finding new ways to compete. We have a culture of making big goals and fulfilling our commitments.

    Cons

At Lenovo, it sometimes takes extra work and working in a global company can mean hours that are not traditional. Although Lenovo is a fast and dynamic work environment, the reward far outways the extra work we need to put in.

    Advice to Management

Be present with the local leaders and employees. Drive the vision and take the time to make sure that the vision is pushed down to every level.

I worked at Lenovo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great products, innovative processes and collective goal to achieve leadership market share position. Smart and dedicated people working together to win.

    Cons

The time it takes to make a decision and implement new plans and programs across a geography. Internal review process and reports necessary to understand the root cause and effect of new programs.

    Advice to Management

Conduct quarterly review of the sales process, pipeline progression, customer engagements and success factors. Highlight areas for improvement and necessary changes to improve overall results.

I worked at Lenovo as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

When I spent part of my summer as an intern at Lenovo, I felt really empowered to work on self-identified projects. Management was extremely receptive towards any kinds of things that I did outside of the scale of work. I really felt like my opinion was valuable, even as an intern.

    Cons

Sometimes, things felt a little too self-directed. If I couldn't come up with something to do, and I asked my boss for some work and he couldn't identify something I would spend some time just doing nothing. Maybe this comes from being the first year of my internship program, but either way it's a way to improve.

    Advice to Management

Find a better balance between having internships be self-directed and providing work to the interns.
