I have been working at LensCrafters full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, benefits are great. Pay is competitive. Lenscrafters does a great job giving each store all the tools needed to succeed with goals. Very close relationship with upper management with plenty of support from them.

    Cons

High turn over of staff. Not set up to encourage part time workers to stay long term. Over 1 hour wait time on phone every time I have needed to call HR for an employee. While they have many tools to help you succeed it is annoying how often they change how they want these tools implemented. I have one employee who works one day a week who stated recently every shift he works there is at least one operational change.

    Advice to Management

stores need more support for lab equipment. When a machine goes down a store can be down for days or weeks with no outside support.

I have been working at LensCrafters full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Love helping people find what they need. Benefits of insurance and free eyewear for every yr with company. If you work with the correct team everything is awesome. Also, they have a great selection in product. Love their Gift of Sight program when people don't take advantage of it.

    Cons

The company is not fair to all employees. I fee like I work long hours and do so much for the store and team and I am not appreciated. Also, new and senior employees get pair differently as in new associates get paid more than the senior associates. The commission is TERRIBLE. Raises are the worst.

    Advice to Management

Everyone should be paid fairly and should be treated with respect and not felt unappreciated.

I worked at LensCrafters full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good talent, recruiting does a good job getting the right people. However thats it besides a somewhat good training program that you have to do at home because they only give you 20hrs for a 60hr training.

    Cons

Look at the reviews they all have one thing in common. Company doesn't value it employees. they took commission, hours, weekends, work extended hours and treat us with so much pressure. FOR WHAT. They have 85% of the global market were it takes 5.00 to make a lens or glasses and want to make 500% profit.

    Advice to Management

Make your employees happy give them at least a high 5.

    Pros

Decent pay rate and benefits. Great place to grow and have a career. Good discount on glasses. You can even use your discount at our sister companies. Free annual eye exam and free pair of glasses once a year.

    Cons

Hard to have a life outside of work because you must be available most nights and weekends. Upper management changes a lot so you have to be prepared for changes in how the company wants you to conduct business at your store.

    Advice to Management

Be prepared to work hard at achieving sales goals and ensuring that your results are sustainable. Daily coaching and recognition of your staff is highly recommended.

I worked at LensCrafters full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule, and great discounts.

    Cons

Poor upper management, low pay for "medical field", impatient/rude customers.

    Advice to Management

Get better at selection for upper management. A lot of managers are not even in the store half the time nor know how day to day operations works so how can they expect to better the company without knowing it from the bottom down to the top.
