I have been working at Leon's Furniture full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    unlimited income. Close to home

    Cons

long hours, not enough vacation days.

    Advice to Management

Don't flood the floor with sales people. The traffic doesn't warrant it. if for some reason you don't make the minimum weekly pay, you shouldn't have to pay back the $15.00 per hours they advance you. More vacation days.

    I worked at Leon's Furniture full-time

    Pros

If you like retail sales this can be a great job for you. Decent commission's, managers are available to help and encourage. Continuous learning and product knowledge.

    Cons

When the market is down traffic is low, closing sales can be tough. To many sales staff. Can be a cut throat, and brutal environment at times.

    Advice to Management

When customer traffic is slow and sales are down stop hiring sales staff, it can be very discouraging sitting around in the sales room totalling up to hours a day not interacting with customers waiting for turns. Implement more ways to boost moral and create more of an inclusive team environment between departments and staff. There should be consequences to staff that consistently brake the rules and have a cut throat mentality towards fellow employees. Don't allow sales reps to come in on their days off unless they are there to met with a previous client that they made an appointment with, after dealing with said client rep should be required to leave as to not disrupt the sales team scheduled for that day.
