    Pros

I really enjoyed working at Selex. The people were great. Their 401K plan is the absolute best!! The whole time I was employed there was good.

    Cons

The company is very small so there's not much room to grow depending on your background. Other than that it's cool.

I worked at Leonardo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Many highly qualified people with great ideas. People want to see success and growth not simply show up.

    Cons

No defined mission or company goals. Total lack of leadership. Parent company controls the purse from outside us and no budget to accomplish anything. Board of directors has no idea what employees really face daily. Employees have no hope of growth or personal advancement. No professional development matters.

    Advice to Management

Define your purpose. Quit sending employees out to develop things you will never act upon. Provide a two way communication instead of only upward. Be honest with the employeed. Quit collecting a check and lead.

    I worked at Leonardo full-time

    Pros

Great people to work with. Relaxed environment. Interesting products. Small company feeling even though products are sold across the world.

    Cons

Tough scheduling requirements. Demanding management can lead to unneeded stress. Inconsistent work load leads to time off on some days and having to work weekends and holidays on others.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your people who make the company. The lower people are the ones who give the best support and quality to the customers and this has a direct impact on company image.

I have been working at Leonardo full-time

    Pros

This is a small company owned by a large Italian holding company. Plenty of flexibility and consistent work in a global market where layoffs do happen, but are rare.

    Cons

Being held by a foreign entity is a challenge because they don't operate like US companies

    Advice to Management

Advise the overwhelming number of employees who have POSITIVE things to say about Selex who can counter the vast minority of mal contents who have been let go over the past 10 years. This website is becoming popular and gains attention because the loudest of the minority spout off. Thanks for trying, we know its hard. - Signed a workerbee that is grateful for a job.

I have been working at Leonardo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay is very good. Health Benefits could be better but who isn't paying more for less these days. Time off 12 holidays per year, 40 sick hours, I'm up to 3 weeks vacation which might be a con since I have so much work I rarely can take vacation. But I have work, continued workload = continued lifestyle. Been promoted more than one time since starting here. Not perfect, but generally good

    Cons

Every year the Italians re-organize, set new limitations on spending and process then to ice the cake, they add another 1- to 15 million of sales goal to whatever the last year was and set unrealistic expectations. Every organization jumps through any hoop they can to get by but no relief from the arrogant glitterati across the Atlantic.

    Advice to Management

Maybe let us in on more of the behind the scenes happenings so we at least know why something is happening.
