I worked at Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies part-time

    Pros

Great team environment and easy job advancement.

    Cons

Training is mostly undertaken in the course of the work because it’s hard to learn the details in a reasonable way through texts or e-training. Also, the pay rate was low for the amount of work expected.

    Pros

Steady paycheck, good experience, sometimes you get free fruit, bonus

    Cons

Work can be over demanding work , benefits and PTO below average, cheap company that even charges for covered parking

    Advice to Management

Where do I begin? Working at the corporate office is a very stale working environment. Do something to make this place more pleasing. Start with the lighting there are too many skylights. Improve decor and get rid of those messages on the wall they are silly. For such a large building there is no true facilities. Bathrooms are usually dirty , if you spill water your expected to clean it up with no mop in sight. The building gets hot , stuffy in the summer. Hire a working facilities person and improve air conditioning. This company only awards hard work . I do not care about a slim chance about going to Mexico. I'd rather have a better overall working environment including competitive salaries and a guaranteed bonus. Vacation policy is subpar. Company needs to become more competitive and grant more days off. improve your benefits including medical. Try adding an employee sponsored HSA. 401k should match right after 90days not after a year of working here. This company is very cheap and if you require any special accommodations they will not comply and complain about budgetary constraints. Company's attitude towards employees needs to change. If you're going to offer fruit be consistent and have it available daily.

    Pros

Constant Hours, Good Benefits, Commission on Pool Sales

    Cons

Not great pay for Managing Position,
To High Expectations especially when they open stores around yours

    Advice to Management

Need to give more room to compete with other pool companies, When I started working there you allowed us to compete then last 2 year switched to a Form we had to fill out with every customer to match the competition, which took too long and lost sales.

    Pros

Good medical benefits since they changed for better company, good pay for job done, worked with some great employees while there, very helpful if needed them.

    Cons

Training could be more updated and the company really needs to update the pos computers to the new age! Can't get repairs done on eqpt thru my Mgr cuz he didn't want his budget to take the hit. Sad.
