    Pros

    Do good work, great research.

    Cons

Low pay, overly controlling HQ. This was under the previous CEO, so things may be different now.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Leukemia & Lymphoma Society full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

A noble mission.....on paper. If they had leadership that actually believed in it rather than just raising more money.

    Cons

Agree with some of the other comments, it is a mismanaged, bullying environment in which employees are treated poorly, dismissed abruptly without justification or explanation and managed by a fear-induced quota system. It is the poster child for the non-profit more interested in the revenue than the cause. Stay away.

    Advice to Management

    Find another job.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Leukemia & Lymphoma Society full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lots of people who have a passion for the cause work there. Solid research funding success and clinical partnership track record. Strong fundraising brands.

    Cons

Frequent restructuring! Disconnect between executive leadership and the ‘tribe’ nationally and regionally. Difficult organization to navigate. Top down and silos endure. The org. could be so much more successful if employees felt treated fairly and empowered and donors were valued and respected appropriately. Patient centricity is weak.

    Advice to Management

Empower your people and commit to sustainable change management given the frequent restructuring cycles.
