I have been working at Levi, Ray and Shoup full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The benefits like healthcare, on site gym, and 401k are fantastic. There's constantly something going on that involves family and employees getting together. You can approach anyone, no matter the title, and just have a casual conversation with them which makes the workplace have almost zero stress.

    Cons

I wish there was a little more opportunity to learn. Whether it be taking advantage of the education department and gaining certification to better perform at your job or maybe some optional classes that we can take.

    Advice to Management

Get with the employees in your teams and have Q&As on what they think could be improved upon.

I have been working at Levi, Ray and Shoup as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working at LRS had been a good first experience even though I would not want to make it a full time job in the future.

    Cons

Pretty old tech that they are working with. You wanna be good with C# and MVC stuff since you'll be using a lot of that.

    Advice to Management

Maybe look into new technologies a bit more. It's hard to really make the shift but I know that the rewards would be great.

    Pros

Good people recruiter and AE are the top of the class. Open to listen to environmental concerns that effect their consultants.

    Cons

No discount for training for top performing consultants to sharpen the saw.
    Does NOT visit consultant environment.
Nothing else comes to mind regarding other cons.

    Advice to Management

Performers should be rewarded. Day off with pay.

I have been working at Levi, Ray and Shoup full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

LRS is a global IT company with a solid reputation. Because of their size and years in business, there is more stability there. Their benefits are good and it is a fun place to work with some very smart and talented people.

    Cons

They do not offer career paths and there is little opportunity for advancement. Also, because of the financial success from one or two divisions, there seems to be a lack of drive or entrepreneurial spirit. The divisions of the company do not collaborate as much as they probably should.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to incentivize employees to innovate or help grow the business. While we are a good company that does good work, it seems like the vibe is keeping status quo rather than growing (as a company or as an individual) or creating.

I have been working at Levi, Ray and Shoup full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pleasant office environment, pleasant coworkers, average benefits

    Cons

Company has lost vision and is stagnating in the technology landscape. CEO disconnected from the company physically, emotionally; Company wide atmosphere of embracing mediocrity; they always say they do not want "yes men," but that is exactly what they want. Employee ideas, new strategies, etc. are not welcome. Quality people do not stay long. Management is a group of "yes men" who care only about flying under the radar and not making waves to keep their jobs, and there is no structured method for staff to evaluate management. Benefits have been cut over the past decade, and salaries are stagnant -- all the while the company spends money on a funny car and 3 jets. There is a complete disconnect between the CEO and the way the company is being run.

    Advice to Management

It will be hard, due to an atmosphere of distrust, but open the lines of communication with employees, and genuinely listen and put their ideas to work. The managers within most every company division need to be removed.

I have been working at Levi, Ray and Shoup (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company that appreciates its employees and rewards hard work. The management is very open to new ideas and improvements and does everything they can to implement good ideas.

    Cons

There are very few cons to speak of. One possible con would be the disconnect between divisions and how set these divisions are in there ways. Change can be difficult at times because it's not what is familiar.

    Advice to Management

Technology is changing and we have to be quick to react.

I worked at Levi, Ray and Shoup full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Team environment was amazing. We had our own small groups to work within. Projects could have greater focus and therefore increase productivity and success.

    Cons

Compensation was a mid-level. The office culture had the appearance of corporate standards, although the small groups allowed for creativity to come through.

    Pros

    Good pay, good benefits.
    Many good people work there.
    Onsite health facility.

    Cons

Benefits have been cut over the last 10 years, possibly to subsidize divisions that don't produce revenue.
Management is firmly entrenched, little opportunity for career advancement, resistant to change.

    Advice to Management

Give smart people more freedom to implement new strategies.
Allow employees to honestly evaluate managers to find weak points.

    Advice to Management
