Decent starting job. Very inconsistent management.

Free product if your store makes plan. You have the potential to meet awesome people while helping them on the sales floor.
Cons
Very little pay for a ton of responsibility. Not consistent with training and development. Upper management is not organized and horrible people get promoted. They expect you to have full time availability for a part time job. Huge turnover.

Pros
Company is a strong proponent of progressive social and environmental issues. Decent pay for retail Good health benefits
Cons
Toxic internal culture. The store level workers are treated like dirt by the corporate level employees. Upper management instills extreme fear tactics when corporate visits occur and you feel like you could get fired just by looking at them the wrong way. They also demand the red carpet, celebrity treatment whenever they come into the store (god forbid they’re not greeted by every single associate in the store). There is also absolutely zero regard for work/life balance. It’s near impossible to get a weekend off (I’ve had only 3 off in the past year). It’s also an uphill battle to request vacation time as it will always conflict with “the needs of the business” even if you give 3 months notice in advance. Work hours are 9+ hour days and schedules are not made fairly. Upper management works the normal 9 to 5s and comes and goes whenever they please leaving support managers to work the undesirable shifts.

Comfortable jeans, unorganized company
Jul 30, 2013 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great people and the company is very involved in community service and giving back. Casual workplace/dress code. The company is really into making you feel like you are part of the brand. New training is streamlining company.
Cons
There is little room for advancement. Upper management doesn't seem to have a clear strategy for where the company is going. They are focused on opening stores but current stores don't even have technology to process debit cards. So many things is very unorganized. Also they push hiring more people but don't give enough payroll to even make those already employed enough hours so the turnover rate is increasing. Oh and benefits are only given to FT supervisors even though most PT supervisors work full time hours.

Great place to learn about retail.

Loved my team and those I worked with. Company has great values and a rich history.
Cons
Upper management only looks at your store numbers and could care less about all the other factors that you can't measure with numbers.

Don't Recommend...STAY CLEAR!
Apr 26, 2017 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Benefits are passable; 401K match is probably the best thing; generally nice people (at least on the surface...some can just be pretending though)
Cons
First off...stay clear of Merchandising. Though I didn't work in Merch myself I worked closely with people in Merch, I heard a lot of bad things that happen there from other previous employees. Some of which include sexual-harassment and abuse of power by upper executive staff. Also in general (specifically pertaining to Merch) people were 'laid-off' or essentially fired because they didn't do what upper management told them to do. There are no basis for their lay-offs and that's really pitiful. HR isn't much help either, they're not really doing what they're supposed to do. HR is a puppet in all of this and also scared of the top leaders and will do whatever they ask. HR has no backbone and even when evidence was presented against these executive leaders HR just turns a blind eye. It's a shame and quite sad some people leave without having found another just because they're that miserable and abused. Some people get overworked too...no work life balance. I see people getting in at 7am and work 'at home' until 12am. That's a sad life and I'm glad I left (at a much better place now)...I wouldn't want to work for people like-who say they care, but doesn't really. Overall not a great company and it's not even worth the 'name'. You're much better off working at a company that treats people well even if they're a no name. If you get a job here...good luck!

Pros
They genuinely care about there people, strong benefits package, great 401k and PTO
Cons
Not a strong upper management team from the corporate side CEO was very strong leader but store leadership team is weak

Pros
Good pay and had a little flexibility in work from home. Enjoyed working with most of the employees
Cons
A string of bad IT executive and upper managers. The current IT upper management run by a CFO whose only interested in bottom line IT services. outsourced to WiPro. That set the tone for the rest of management. Overall morale of employees was bleak. The main reason for the low marks.

Pros
Great team to work with and the staff discount was great
Cons
Was hired as an assistant manager for the store however there was no store manager. I was running an entire store on my own without proper compensation. This led to mental health issues due to stress. Sick leave was questioned by the district manager and was treated horribly for speaking up about problems. No support from head office and constant issues needing to be fixed. I dreaded going to work everyday due to how I was treated by upper management. Ridiculous amount of manager meetings per week which would take 2+ hours out of the day whilst still expected to get everything else done.

Very little pay for the amount of work put forth.

Awesome co workers. Getting to sell a product that I believe in. I love Levi jeans.
Cons
Upper management is very pushy and they are all about 'passing the buck' A lot of people in management talk down to you as if you are uneducated or are incompetent. Not very flexible with school schedules. Do not empathize with issues that occur outside Levi's Over worked, with very little pay.

Amazing retail structure, fantastic mid level management
Apr 16, 2014 - Store ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
As a current employee (7 years) I've been promoted from a seasonal stylist to a store manager. Throughout my time I've had an amazing group of leaders who have become mentors as well as close friends. Within the retail division, I have been given honest feedback and have achieved my goals. I truly feel like my peers are there to support me, and my leaders have my best interests at heart.
Cons
Recent leadership changes have created lots of miscommunication between upper management and the store level. There have been issues with 'baiting' potential jobs to convince others to do additional work, only to have those jobs not happen with little or no feedback given as to why.
