    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Lexington Clinic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Follows healthcare guidelines and administration has a forward thinking concept.

    Cons

Manager's oversee operations of three or more specialties and cover vacations for 1-2 additional groups for vacancies and vacations without increase in pay/incentive. Management vacancies can be as long as 4-6 month's. Recent re-organization left over 100 individuals unemployed and several 25 plus year employees with no notice or departure recognition. Providers have limited input on administrative decisions.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate hard work on all levels, listen to providers and their recommendations.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Lexington Clinic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hours of work daily, one on one with patients, in person or by phone. Wearing uniforms was nice. Most employees were friendly, come were helpful but some were not. I liked the constant work situations, hours went by quickly.

    Cons

This particular department was going through transition on trying to get duties for individuals, and would somtimes think they had told everyone about changes which occurred daily. It was difficult to remember one task and then it would change.

    Advice to Management

Be fair to all individuals and don't favor one or two individuals over the rest.

I worked at Lexington Clinic full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Sadly, the only pro to working here is the friendships made over the years I was there. The almighty dollar has tainted the vision of the clinic and its leaders.

    Cons

Do not plan on a long term career. Once you start making money, you will be cut. Everyone at the clinic knows this and therefore do not feel secure. It is very difficult to perform well when you are worried that you will be called to HR any day, even employees who have been there 30 years. Also the insurance requires you to use their providers (another way to ensure they get their money)! Steer clear if you want to feel secure. Their marketing person even said in a statement in the newspaper that receptionists were let go then a few sentences later that they were hiring receptionists. Seriously, this place has unfortunately become a joke.

    Advice to Management

Simple, have a little bit of decency. You have become so political and show favoritism to those you think are in your corner. Your employees do not feel safe and secure in their positions when they know they can and will be cut for no reason at all!!! You will not keep good employees when they know they can go elsewhere and feel both secure AND appreciated. And by making these "cuts" you not only lost employees but lost them as patients as well (and in some cases their whole family goes elsewhere bc they don't want to contribute to the very ones who caused their family member to lose their job). Make your doctors work more then maybe you can keep the good employees.

    Pros

Good people and a small business feel. Coworkers really do care and I am still friends with many of them to this day.

    Cons

If you want to move up in the company, you better be fantastic at your job or be good buds with those at the top.

    Advice to Management

At one point, Lexington Clinic was known as one of the best places to work in KY. Might not hurt to try to make that list again cause you might fix a few other issues in the process.

    Pros

Everyone is very friendly and willing to help!! Many locations throughout central Kentucky. Good benefits. Room for promotion as well.

    Cons

Some of the doctors don't appreciate their employees. Some of the managers also didn't know what they were doing.

    Advice to Management

Make sure all management understands their department
