    Pros

    Great leadership
    Clear vision
    Good benefits
Pay is above all others in this area
Constant challenges, not a dull moment

    Cons

Part of a bigger company... sometimes the bigger entity drags this group into the ground.
Some of the recent people that came from another company are lazy and a bunch of winers, they can contaminate the rest

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing! We love the work, pressure can be up at times but that keeps us going and busy

    Pros

Benefits are excellent, pay is higher than comparable positions at other employers in the area. Co-workers are always quick to lend a helping hand.

    Cons

All employees are really just a number. The company doesn't truly care (despite their "LN Cares" events, t-shirts and marketing tools.

    Advice to Management

Learn to appreciate the people you have. Don't judge people strictly on their tenure, but learn the value of the work they do. It may surprise you to learn who you have in management positions that don't belong....

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

    - Very innovative technology platform
    - Above average benefits
    - Solid company
    - Good work/life balance
    - Very professional and competent staff

    Cons

    - The proprietary technology and programming language will make it more difficult to get a different job outside LexisNexis.
    - Leadership not as accepting of out-of-the-box thinking as they portray. While the parent company has a strong focus on innovation, this does not translate well at the business unit level. All ideas must fit into current technology platform.
    - There are many "lifers" left from the Seisint days, including much of Middle Management, and advancement opporunities tend to go to them. New blood is not as well received.
    - Small part of large organization; makes getting noticed more difficult.

    Advice to Management

-Provide a strategic direction to which employees can align their day-to-day work
-Focus more on integrating the teams in the various locations, eliminate silos

    Pros

    Good benefits. Bagels on Fridays.

    Cons

Communication is awful - moreso since Choicepoint took over. Everything is such a big secret -- you need to ask questions because information is not forthcoming from supervisors, managers, VPs or HR.

    Advice to Management

People want to know what is going on; tell them the truth. Good or bad, it's better than being ignored or lied to.
