    Positive Outlook

I worked at Lexus of Glendale part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It is a great atmosphere and work environment. Super energetic and encouraging management. Best in class service.

    Cons

Hours are schedules erratically for sale employees and can make it hard to plan your weeks.

I worked at Lexus of Glendale full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lexus of Glendale will definitely put your problem solving abilities to the test and if you don't like certain managers, rest assured that they will eventually resign or be eligible for dismissal.
My advice to anyone still working there: Get out as soon as you can. You do better.

    Cons

    - The only place I ever worked at where your pay can drop significantly with or without warning or your consent.
    - Frequent turnover (including most members of management)
    - Benefits are difficult to afford and continue to rise.
    - Not a team oriented environment. In fact, many people will compete with you for a penny. Betrayals, enemies, and disdain is common in several departments and appears to even be encouraged. A very divided and hostile work environment.
    - Service Writers, Technicians, Parts personnel, Sales personnel given unrealistic expectations at any given time. When the pressure is on, the finger pointing begins.
    - Tech and Service Writer pay is frequently "modified" and not in their favor (although the customer may end up paying the same or more than they previously did)
    - Poor training program within the dealer. (Factory training from corporate is beneficial but does not always result in being practiced upon returning to dealer)
    - Taking vacation will mean taking a pay cut for most positions
    - Too many political games. New management will always bring their own people who usually consist of inept and useless individuals who's main purpose is to serve the person who brought them there. These people do not last long either in many cases.
    - A perfect example of a "Profits before People" atmosphere.
    - Very little incentive or out of reach bonuses. If you somehow manage to obtain them, management will change the rules to try and demotivate you in many cases.
    - No absolute framework of rules. Mainly a word of mouth or door posted paper that starts with " Effective immediately"
    - Most people that are there, want to get out
    - Too many more to list

    Advice to Management

Replacing may seem easy because there is a stack of applications, however not all applicants/employees are equal. Some are very productive and should be rewarded as such. Many people are underpaid and are struggling to survive due to rising costs of living. I truly hope you review your pay upgrade procedures and provide more motivational methods. I believe it will increase productivity and provide a better work environment.

I have been working at Lexus of Glendale full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Absolutely none have worked for many stores every single one was a much better experience by far

    Cons

The pay plan is extremely poor and does not compensate for time or ability. The stress level is extremely high and it is an overall disappointing place to work.

    Advice to Management

I have literally watched every hire in the past several months quit within days. I have watched as managers who work extremely hard, in both sales and service, throw in the towel and leave because they too realize the situation of the store. The place is an embarrassment to what Lexus stands for and all the years I have worked at this location.

I have been working at Lexus of Glendale full-time

    Pros

There are no pros to working here at Lexus Of Glendale.

    Cons

You're hourly wage is pretty much $10 regardless of your position. Sales Associates had their hourly wage cut out and now only make a living off commission. Technicians complain that the pay could be better. Stressful workload and many responsibilities for little pay.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees first. They are the ones that ultimately allow you to have a successful business.

Teach management how to control their emotions when something doesn't necessarily go their way.

Review your compensation benefits for employees as well as the medical, dental and vision insurance. Its not realistically affordable for anyone working here.

    Pros

nothing, unless you sell 20+ cars.

    Cons

$500 base pay, $125 per car sold. No hourly pay, no parking, micro managed everyone and once you get hired you are on your own.
