I worked at Lexus of Orlando full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

When I first started with lexus of orlando it was truly a rewarding a position. Holiday program/401k program are very solid & family oriented. A lot online tools and programs that helped the sales process.

    Cons

There was about 3 pay plan changes in a 2 yr span when we breaking sales #'s. After the 3rd pay cut they decided to add 10-12 sales reps to the floor which distorted everything. The big thing was the pay cuts in all honesty the culture there is solid

    Advice to Management

Who else would know more about the customers needs than the individual that spent 2 hrs with him? Listen to your people when they show a semblance of having their finger on the pulse of the deal. Innovate be more open minded

Only good thing is the product and coworkers. Nice facility, and some nice policy's.

    Advice to Management

Stop taking money away from employees. Treat people with respect and abide by own handbook.

I worked at Lexus of Orlando full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Employees are good people that want to truly help each other and the customers.

    Cons

No real work/life balance. Low pay, low hours if you're a technician; and a high turnover of 42 techs in one year. Company literally charges you money out of your check for petty things such as forgetting to clock out; sometimes their time clock does not even work properly. There was a phrase allegedly quoted by the owner: "The customer pays, Lexus pays, or the employees pay; I don't pay." What a guy, right?!

    Advice to Management

Culture. I can't stress it enough. You have people working with you, not slaves that have to have the job. Treat them like human beings and pay attention when something doesn't look or feel right. We're only human and all of us have a story. Don't just talk about our value, your support, or what a "great" company you have; show us! I heard too many negative stories about situations that occurred during my short tenure that made me rethink many of my priorities.
