I have been working at Libbey full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Company is striving to be progressive, reconstructed corporate headquarters. Purchased new technology for new offices and conference rooms. Kitchenettes on each floor.

    Cons

Frequent Labor cost cuts, workload expectations are not realistic for team members to be successful. IT department slow and often doesn't understand the technology.

    Advice to Management

Provide the team the resources to be successful(quit expecting everyone to do more with less).

I have been working at Libbey full-time

    Pros

    Good fringe benefits, competitive pay.

    Cons

Leadership is living in a bubble. Talk about driving a Passion for Winning yet fail to encourage behaviors that lead to success. Ignore differing perspectives from qualified people.

    Advice to Management

You already have talented people. Listen to them! It's 2016, the old way of doing business is obsolete and will lead to more problems (i.e. Toledo strike).

    I worked at Libbey full-time

    Pros

If you can make it at Libbey, you can make it anywhere. I was stressed ALL of the time, but it definitely strengthened my skills to take on any challenges

    Cons

Where do I start. Training was very minimal, and then one day you're just thrown into the fire. They would say that mistakes were okay and that's how you learn....of course until you get fired for a mistake that you made!

    Advice to Management

Train your employees and let them know that you truly value their hard work and efforts.

    I worked at Libbey full-time

    Pros

The only pro I can think of is that you get a good discount at the Libbey outlet store.

    Cons

They were a very oldschool company when I was there. You must be there at a certain time on the dot or call your supervisor. Don't try to take an extended lunch, and never expect to leave early without taking PTO.
