I worked at Liberty Global as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent compensation and benefits (breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day)
Nice office culture - the team took me for dinner twice and to a baseball game

    Cons

I had to push hard to be given actual tasks, and even then, people were shocked whenever I finished a job or did something even vaguely good. They clearly thought that interns would be incompetent. But I did some solid work, and after that, I did a couple of bigger projects

    Advice to Management

Provide a better program for interns, with on boarding, instruction and reward build in

I have been working at Liberty Global as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, excellent benefits (for permanent employees), friendly office, up-to-date technology. In-house café, breakfast and lunch are free. In-house gym. People here are super nice and I feel once you get your foot in the door you have a chance to take pride in your place here.

    Cons

Hiring can be a little flaky and takes a LONG time. HR has too much on their plates, need more people in that department. Everyone has a pretty substantial workload, so if you aren't prepared to work hard, don't apply.

    Advice to Management

I can't give any advice to management, except keep doing what your doing. This company is successful, fun to work for and pays well; you can't get ask for more than that.

Great facilities (canteen, gym, coffee corner, building etc.)
Very professional employees, true experts in their field
    Nice colleagues
    Good salary and benefits
    Good travel arrangements
    Never a dull moment
    Lots of freedom at work
    Very broad scope of work

    Cons

    Constant re-orgs, many (sudden) redundancies
Looks like they are scaling down activities of the corporate office
Remit and scope of the departments not always clear
    Highly political environment
Very dynamic, many changes. You need to be able to cope with this
    Low career opportunities

    Advice to Management

Get the org, scope and focus clear. Stick with this for longer than 12 months. Inform people better on future directions of the corporate office
