Good company with lots of innovation. Has good focus on customer needs and looking for creative ways to meet and exceed customer needs

    Cons

Overly focused on analytics, to point where it negatively impacts speed to market. Seems to value higher education over experience.

Horrific management, and ignorance is praised and promoted in this organization in the Midwest at the very least

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees and what they say about their managers. If they all report that the manager isn't doing their job, the manager is probably not doing their job!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Pros

    Free food and Benefits and
    More free food

    Cons

HR & management discrimates against Blacks. You have no voice in the co. If you speak up you get bad reviews, low ratings, overlooked for promotions & they will cherry pick audits to fire you. They throw claims at bodies. They don't care if you are trained unless you are a favorite. They lie to you. Inventory is out of control. Constant turnover of tenored employees. Overworked and underpaid. You can't do this job in 7.5 hours. They lie about that. People act very childish so you feel like you are working in a sandbox. HR does not care. Their main job is to protect the company and to find out if you have enough info to sue them.

    Advice to Management

Stop stereotyping and hating Black people. Stop using Blacks as pawns to pit against one another. That's not teamwork. How can you use Blacks in you commercials to promote your products yet allow them to be discrimated against in the workplace. The time and effort you put into hating people you don't like; you can use to properly train your employees. Be honest with employees. Don't tell us you want to hear what we have to say when what you really mean is that you just want us to say what you want to hear.

I have been working at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    The benefits are really good.

    Cons

The metrics are impossible to meet and if you do meet one, they still hit you with a low score on your yearly review. There is almost no field staff anywhere, so you will be handling large damage amounts form the desk that really should be seen in person and then questioned on your decisions. The audit reviews are extremely opinion based. The vast majority of the department is always either on a coaching package, fired, or leaving at any given time. The work load is also ridiculous. I also don't feel like we behave with integrity and it seems like we just try to pay as little as possible.

    Advice to Management

Stop the micromanagement, end the opinion based "quality" reviews and realize that in order to make your customers happy you have to give a little bit more than you may like.
