I have been working at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people, great hours, great benefits. Late company with room to move up and the company offers tuition reimbursement.

    Cons

Heavy workload, the work can be stressful at times, and the systems are updated as often as possible.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on employees. Happy employees equal happy customers.

I worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very good pay for the market, great benefits.

    Cons

If I could give zero stars I would. Where do I start? Very poor middle management. Favoritism galore. Not enough training. Human Resources is worthless. I felt discriminated due to my age, the department is run by millennials who just barely flew the nest and are playing boss. My manager was never in, always away in " training" or traveling. Don't understand why doesn't get a job in the airlines industry. Very hectic and high pressure atmosphere. Management does not listen to the internal customers needs. Lack of transparency. Not honest at all.

    Advice to Management

    Head for the hills

I have been working at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits. Good work/life balance and work from home opportunities. The company is great but the job is not.

    Cons

Management does not communicate things well. The position does not give you many transferable skills other than customer service. Also a lack of recognition for hard work.

    Advice to Management

Learn to manage and develop people better and recognize them for good work.

Integrity, professional and good base of employee. Fun place to work for. Everyone treats others with equal professionalism. Liberty Mutual takes pride in their culture of employees backgrounds.

    Pros

Fortune 100 company with incredibly smart people and excellent career opportunities.

    Cons

Consistently reorganizes about every 3-5 years; most of the jobs are primarily in Boston and a few other major hub locations; insurance sector is facing newer competitors and challenged to innovate faster by emerging industries practices - e.g. autonomous vehicles, new technology and industry

I worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Kind and caring supervisors, humane treatment of employees, the work was doable and physical space was comfortable. For call center work it was not bad.

    Cons

Call center work is stressful no matter how nice the company. Upward mobility was mostly limited to adjuster jobs, and we all knew adjusters' work was very stressful. Also, not everyone wants to do that work in any case.
