I have been working at Life Care Centers of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I love this company. They provide you with the tools to succeed in your day to day. I haven't been happier or more challenged daily with the work I do and have found it be immensely rewarding. They offer Honest, open communication, strong team members who work very hard and an Opportunity to grow daily and contribute to the vision of the company.

    Cons

Constant need for nursing staff but I feel this is common in any hospital setting. Possibly a more efficient delegation of the current nursing staff and more encouragement daily for them as they are doing valuable work.

    Advice to Management

Continue to encourage your team members to thrive and grow while investing in them. I've had such a rewarding experience so far with my leaders contributing to my growth and taking interest in my growth.

I worked at Life Care Centers of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They offer CNA training and really care about clients, they try to recognize employee effort and expect employees to have dedication and compassion. It's an honor to be there for clients as they leave this world. They offer health benefits and try to give raises and reviews often. It is a very busy job and the day flies by.

    Cons

Pay was low and staffing was unstable. Upper management was out of touch sometimes and one staffer said she didn't think CNA jobs were worth more than $15/hr. Breaks are impossible to take and charting is hard to keep up with because we were busy. The disconnect between floor and administrative staff was frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate floor staff, especially the CNA. They spend most of the time with clients over any other staff member.

    Pros

Great benefits. I have worked for life care for 10 years. Good people for the most part. Provide all the resources needed to be successful

    Cons

Too concerned with the bottom line. A great deal of favoritism is allowed which creates animosity and low moral.

    Advice to Management

Get to know ur staff and residents. Be visible and available. Hire/promote based on qualifications rather than friendship.
