    Pros

Professional, driven staff. Great culture and atmosphere

    Cons

Company is very top heavy, management galore. When its time to cut, management stays and the contributors go.

    Advice to Management

Advice to executive management: cut management staff down to industry norms so department payrolls aren't so high

    Pros

Free club access, fun atmosphere at clubs, feel good about helping people feel good about themselves and live a bit healthier.

    Cons

Currently PE partners are running a really lean shop, pay is likely to be a bit less than average expected.

    Advice to Management

Keep cutting dead weight payroll. Lots of long time kronies hanging on there that are not adding value. Fresh blood, new ideas for a lower rate.

I worked at Life Time Fitness full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working for a company that wants to help people make a positive change in their life. You are doing work that really matters and makes a positive impact.

    Cons

The overall culture does not match their tagline of being a Healthy Way of Life Company. The CEO doesn't foster that. Poor benefits and PTO.

    Advice to Management

Live what you preach. Just giving employees a gym membership doesn't mean you are truly a healthy way of life company.

I worked at Life Time Fitness (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free lifetime fitness membership. Great people to work with. Flexible hours if you know what your doing. Awesome children! Great kids academy classes add variety to the day to day work. Sam Remus did an excellent job responding to any complaints I had and generally cared about each member.

    Cons

No upward mobility. Minimum wage pay to have snot and throw up around you all day. At times 100+ kids with a decent amount crying at the same time will make the parents complain that your not doing your job which will make management yell at you to do better. Some children are spoiled and there's nothing you can do about it.
Multiple times kids would be changing to go swimming in the locker room and some of them will get naked and stand up on the bench and wiggle their privats around singing "I'm ... and I know it" and I'm not allowed to grab them so I have to ask them to stop for up to half an hour. Guests in the locker room then sometimes complain that I'm not doing my job and then management yells at me

    Advice to Management

Raise the pay. You pay us minimum wage to watch your child all-day and we have to sit there and do nothing if he/she has a tantrum in front of guests.

I have been working at Life Time Fitness full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Amazing potential for a full fledged career.

    Cons

Alignment is the focus. Management requires all boxes get checked with zero follow through or explanation.

    Advice to Management

Ridiculous trackers and ever changing "pivots" seem pointless and are difficult to communicate to a team of professionals.
