I worked at Life Time Fitness full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people I worked with were generally very good people and fun to be around. Being a supervisor has its perks, and the gym is extremely high end.

    Cons

Management is very disconnected from the café even though we produced perhaps the most day to day revenue. Corporate has absolutely no grasp of how restaurant businesses are run, and it shows in our SOP’s, and profits.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people at the corporate level who understand the challenges of the restaurant business, so you’re able to understand what goes on in the café. It’s very different from the rest of the gym. Also, fix the God-awful POS we use. Make it user friendly.

I have been working at Life Time Fitness part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free membership, Employee discounts, Easy to get hours

    Cons

Repetitive, Members are unappreciative, Low pay, High turn over rate

    Advice to Management

With a heavy work load and high expectations the operations department needs to have higher wages. At the same time, members that cause a lot of trouble should have their membership suspended even if it means the company makes $100 less a month.

I have been working at Life Time Fitness full-time

    Pros

Own your own business, decent pay per hour

    Cons

Have to get your own clients, not enough support from management, managers also train and therefore there is a huge conflict of interest and trainers typically get picked second to train the client only if the manager doesn't want to (aka less wealthy and committed clients).
