    Pros

Free membership is the only thing that's beneficial

    Cons

Pay is low for the work done, no time and a half for holidays, expect you to dedicate all your time to the job

I worked at Life Time Fitness part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free gym memberships, valuable networking opportunities with members, and a flexible schedule for those in college.

    Cons

A large amount of employees hired in the rock wall area / child care center think it is perfectly acceptable coming in "high", and then interacting with the safety of children.

The company has a huge problem with an extremely high turn-over rate across the board.

Low pay and no incentive to take on more responsibilities (in my case the difference between a supervisor and assistant manager was $1.00 more an hour...)

    Advice to Management

Drug test people prior to hiring them!

Closely review the people who are in management. A lot of management will understaff just to receive a bonus at the end of the month. This creates huge safety issues and upsets a large amounts of members just so the department head can have a bit more spending money for the month.

Hire adults for adult roles, not high schoolers who most need babysitters for themselves.

I have been working at Life Time Fitness full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Incredibly fulfilling job. Mission and Vision is on point and the company lives by it. Upward mobility is tremendous and growth potential is unmatched. Category killer.

    Cons

Work/life balance is terrible sometimes. Lack of loyalty. Very little PTO and leave for qualifying life changes is poor. Management is cliquish so just because you qualify for it doesn't mean you'll get the raise, they look for a certain characteristic regardless of merit, expertise, or experience.

    Pros

It is definitely a very fun place to work. Everyone from most departments are friends and get along well. You get free membership when you get hired, which is a big plus.

    Cons

This is not really a con, but since it's a gym you have to keep the kids moving and entertained for a majority of your shift. Sometimes it's hard when the kids just want to watch a movie and that's usually looked down upon. You just have to be creative with ways of keeping the kids busy and active.
