I have been working at Life Time Fitness (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Getting to work with fun like minded positive people.
    - Free membership.
    - Flexibility with my schedule.
    - There is always something to do, so you never get bored.
    - Network with all kinds of people.

    Cons

    - The pay is so terrible. It's very hard to pay my bills as an adult in school, making $10.00 an hour.
The pay should definitely start out at $12.00, at least! People pay big bucks to enjoy this gym, and without it's loyal team members the cleanliness, and friendly faces of the gym, the environment would be a box with heavy weights.

I have been working at Life Time Fitness as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing facility and company-highly recommend working for them.

    Cons

Like any gym, when you are new the schedule is already in place so you have to do what is takes to get a spot instructing, subbing first.

    Advice to Management

Must have a national group fitness cert. I had to obtain one in order to instruct there.

I worked at Life Time Fitness part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great fitness facility. You receive a full membership($120/month value), and it is a more laid back atmosphere.

    Cons

The location I worked at had absolutely zero direction. I worked in a couple of departments, and their was never a serious upper-management person who knew what they were doing.

Room for growth, never a guarantee. You never know who will be replace or terminated.

    Cons

set up for failure, do not provide the right training and tools

    Advice to Management

advice to CEO look at the cost loss for continuing having General Management Specialist terminate anyone, the cost it will take to replace and retrain. Replace them.
