Great place to start but I wouldn't want to move up in management

      Pros

Life Time is the best gym to work at; definitely more cutting edge and cleaner than other gyms

      Cons

Long hours with no extra pay, they will always ask you to do more without getting paid. I only teach 1 class a week here but yet I get 100 text messages every week about the goings-on of Life Time, I don't have time for any of this. Also, I do not get paid for this time either. Equipment is constantly breaking or missing. The members pay a lot for their membership and they deserve to step into a class with all the technology working. Same goes for instructors, we put a lot of time and effort into our music selection and class content.... only to show up and the stereo is broken. Also, I have no desire to move up in the company. I see what the department heads and assistant department heads make and the hours they have to put in, no thank you.

      Pros

One of the best things about working with Life Time is the ability to gain access to the clubs, along with the work schedule.

      Cons

During the summer it is easy to get burned out because of long hours in the pool and the sun.

      Cut throat

Aug 12, 2021 - Assistant Sales Manager in Austin, TX

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Could make good money, but they tend to oversaturate the sales positions and it is complete commission. The top positions are typically filled by the best sales reps not by managerial skills.

      Cons

Lots of days with no sales, long hours. You work weekends and occasionally 2 days off per week. Management tends to not be helpful and there are tons of double crossing in the sales department.
