I have been working at LifeCare Hospitals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are ok. Good rehab team. Not much else to put in pro section

    Cons

Nursing staff is lazy, very "us against them " mentality, which interferes with quality pt care. Constantly saying "not my patient "

    Advice to Management

Clean house, look at the number of pts complaints and address them . Hold people accountable and put the pts first

I have been working at LifeCare Hospitals full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It used to be a friendly environment

    Cons

    Dictatorial regime.
No job security with very little staff appreciation except the occasional scraps under the table.
The CEO is trying to build his own empire.

    Advice to Management

Our CEO came form another facility that is closing, since then he has been replacing the current staff with his old staff at the facility. It is no secret. Job security doesn't exist.

    Pros

No pros. Never send any of your love ones here. You will regret it. Trust me. They don't care about your love ones just your money.

    Cons

A disgrace. No teamwork. None of the nurses care about their patients. They are disgusting. Uncaring humans taking care of your loved ones. This chain of hospitals really need to be shut down.

    Advice to Management

Need to just shut all of the Shreveport Campuses down

I worked at LifeCare Hospitals full-time

    Pros

there are no pros at this time

    Cons

bought us out from great company,( six hospitals) to avoid competition. Then began to treat these employees with disrespect. reduced hours, less pay then original Lifecare employees. Said we didn't know how to run a hospital, after THEY filed bankruptcy!!! Cancelled us only to bring original employees to work our shift. ( please read Mechanicsburg review). Then they closed our campus. all employees gone from original hospital, but kept the employees LIFECARE hired.

    Advice to Management

you can't keep CEO's, COO's. you blame YOUR failures beginning with KATRINA. You bought LTACH's only to close them, devastating those employees. Maybe you should CLOSE ALL YOUR HOSPITALS....and stop your dirty deeds. KARMA holds no preferences.

I have been working at LifeCare Hospitals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I work with a great set of nurses, who are top in their field. The ICU staff is very knowledgeable and have a great skill set, and the med-surge nurses are very caring and take excellent care of their patients. I think that one of the biggest compliments that you can give a fellow nurse is that you would pick them to be your family's nurse. This place really does care for their patients, and I highly recommend it.

    Cons

Sometimes staffing gets canceled due to low census. I really do not like being canceled, which doesn't happen often, but bothers me when it does.

    Advice to Management

I would love to have a nice healthy raise!
