I worked at LifePoint Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Checks don't bounce and there on time

    Cons

Can't remember what year we had last raise, nurse staffing ratios dangerous, turnover for management and employees skyrocketed under them, morale plummeted, infection rates went up because of turnover and calibre of new staff. Terrible reputation. Not enough essential equipment like wheelchairs. But senior management got huge bonuses. Benefits terrible. No communication or contact with corporate. It's all about the money

    Advice to Management

If your going to be in larger markets instead of tiny rural towns your going to have to actually pay people, give raises and improve benefits or you won't be able to compete

I have been working at LifePoint Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This is the warmest group of employees I have had the pleasure to work with. My co-workers make coming to work easier.

    Cons

Management does not have a grasp on employee retention and recruitment. Decisions for staffing are not based on patient satisfaction or patient safety.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on retention. If someone gives notice, do an exit interview. See what is making that employee leave. Re-evaluate the pay scale to improve recruitment. Take a close look at patient to nurse ratios.

I worked at LifePoint Health full-time

    Pros

    Compensation and benefits are average

    Cons

Poor morale among the nursing staff. A lot of negativity which impacted patient care many times. IT WAS A J-O-B nonetheless, which paid the bills.

    Advice to Management

    Practice what you preach.

I have been working at LifePoint Health full-time

    Pros

    Fellow employees are nice

    Cons

No annual raises or reviews. Barely any retirement. Benefits and pay are unrealistic for NOVA they need to catch up. They are losing nurses and will continue to.

    Advice to Management

Improve your packages to employees you may actually keep full staff and have less turnover.

    Pros

Honestly can't think of one. The only positive would be I enjoy the employees I work with but they were not Lifepoint hires and have nothing to do with lifepoint. We all genuinely hate Lifepoint together, I guess that's what bonds us.

    Cons

Hmm too many to name. They really don't care about their employees at all. I know that sounds rough but I'm telling you they really don't at all. I've been in some senior level meetings and all they care about is profits. Their priorities in order are profits, shareholders, paying top level executives and quality. The last thing they care about is quality and I won't even put employees on the priority list. They just don't care at all.

    Advice to Management

You need to do the entire country a benefit and stop increasing the cost of healthcare by shifting all of our money to share holders, top executives and keeping profits. Sell all of your hospital's to non-profits that actually care about the cost of healthcare, their patients and their employees. Stay as far away from this organization as possible.

I have been working at LifePoint Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The hours are flexible and it is in a convenient location to get to. You get time off in your first year of hire.

    Cons

    High turn over rate
    Low pay rate
    Benefits are not great
Employees are not held responsible for their mistakes (non clinical)

    Advice to Management

Find a way to pay your employees better, give them better benefits, and give better in department training if you want to get good employees and keep them.
