I have been working at LifeWay Christian Resources full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Since starting with LifeWay I have had some opportunities I have not experienced with other companies. They encourage everyone to go out and learn new technology and help you go down the right path to learn. Everyone on the team's are willing to help whenever needed and there has never been a time where I have felt overwhelmed with the amount or work or expectations because the workload is balanced so well.

They have really embraced technology and a changing work/life balance. The offer of WFA (Work From Anywhere) has been a huge improvement in company morale and has allowed for more flexible work schedule.

    Cons

Drive to Nashville can be cumbersome at times but work hours are flexible so it is easy to beat the traffic leaving at certain times.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing in IT, everything seems to have a shared vision and goal.

I worked at LifeWay Christian Resources full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    The work has eternal significance.
The company provides a wonderful work environment.
    Good salary and benefits.

    Cons

    Slow to change.
    Adverse to risk-taking.

    Advice to Management

Encourage a "One LifeWay" strategy by allowing the different units to do what they do best - Publishing should be publishers and retailers should be the sales people and generate the sales.

I worked at LifeWay Christian Resources as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I felt very valued, even as an intern, and I was involved in work that actually brought sales to the company. It's a very team oriented company; so while everyone has their own individual jobs and tasks, everyone is in constant communication and works well together. They also treat their employees very well and creates a very enjoyable business environment.

    Cons

The only cons I can think of are personal preference things as far as what I like to do and don't like to do. I can't think of any real cons as far as the company is concerned.

    Advice to Management

Continue to communicate well and bring people with you towards success.
