I worked at Lifestyle Family Fitness full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great environment to work in. Happy people work out, great technology to help people get to the results they want.

    Cons

Management could use some work. Better training is needed or more follow up training. A lot of work generating your own leads without much help from company.

    Advice to Management

    Be engaged and realistic

    Pros

Free membership, base plus commission, online/onsite free workouts per goal, & professional trainer available.

    Cons

No other benefits other than a free gym membership.

    Advice to Management

Upper sales management never had anything positive to say to club level managers. Change your system because it does not work.

    Pros

Great corporate environment but a lot of dating and inappropriate behavior among employees. Good location, nice building, good cafeteria.

    Cons

Upper management is not educated and the few that are take advantage of everyone else's ignorance. A lot of office relationships that are inappropriate.

    Advice to Management

    Don't be sharks

I worked at Lifestyle Family Fitness full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked the front desk, they called it a member services representative position. Basically I just scanned key cards all day and filed papers. Not a lot of stress and I worked 40 hours per week.

    Cons

It was a minimum wage job, and it could be extremely boring at times (I worked 4:30am-noon).

    Advice to Management

No advice really. They pay poorly because it's a job which requires very little stress or skill

    Pros

The relationships that are developed with staff and clients. Working in a health club is very rewarding helping people change their lifestyle.

    Cons

For me not overworking myself. I really involve myself with my work and tend to work more than the average person.

    Advice to Management

Great place to work and great benfits and incentives.

I worked at Lifestyle Family Fitness full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good work environment, friendly staff, and great equipment. Was beneficial in helping us acquire new clients and supplied a state-of-the-art training studio. Commission was good.

    Cons

    Hourly rate was too low.

    Advice to Management

Increase hourly rate to commensurate with the commission rate.
