I worked at Lifetime Care Home Health Care and Hospice full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Many of the people are very good to work with. The company is focused on caring for those at home, with nursing, therapy, social work, and helping with activities of daily living. That alone was a positive thing.

    Cons

Unless you are an RN - you're not very valued. Everyone is treated as expendable and they don't hesitate to let you know that. If you develop some sort of disability they treat you like you're a liability and work to get rid of you one way or another - unless you're a nurse. Then they will bend over backwards to keep you in some way.

    Advice to Management

Everyone is a vital part of the business - not just the nurses.

Heavy in upper management. Corporate owned (Excellus). Pay is not competitive to hospital work. The CEO just retired. She was awesome but now things are different

    Pros

Employees are all really nice people, everyone looks like they are so happy to work there.

    Cons

A lot of documentation required--but that has nothing to do with the company--just the reality of the work according to DOH reqs and will be the same in any home care agency. Lifetime just gives you a lot of support in it and try to make it as easy as possible.
