New investors so things are changing a lot

    Advice to Management

My managers are great but the new investors are making changes for monetary reasons, so its affecting all the lower level.

    I worked at Lifetime part-time

    Pros

Very easy job and great communication. Great job specific training. Management is friendly and co-workers are wonderful for the most part!

    Cons

Continual mandatory online training that can be boring and common sense.

    Advice to Management

While looking professional and giving the impression of an elite facility, It is a fitness facility and Blazers for the member services are a bit over the top. I would suggest a more flexible uniform such as wearing black and white professional attire.

    Pros

Great Company to work for. Great fun learning environment with great pay and benefits.

    Cons

Houston GMs and DMs not on same page and create too much tension and lower team morale. Personal Training Leadership were wonderful and why I stayed with company for as long as I did.

    Advice to Management

GM's need better training and need to be better leaders. Do not hire someone because they can sell, that should just be one of the qualities, they should be able to lead and motivate.

    Pros

Working at Lifetime provided me with a great opportunity to meet and learn from established broadcast professionals in the industry. The work environment, while very professional, was laid back and employees were extremely friendly. As an intern and eventual entry-level employee, I was given an opportunity to sit in with other departments of interest and build lasting relationships with other co-workers; which ultimately led to secondary employment following the end of my contract.

    Cons

Some on-the-job training practices were very vague.

I worked at Lifetime as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

They are one of the few tv networks buying and distributing made for television movies. They make what they develop.

    Cons

Many executives develop projects and often have different opinions. They change executives too often.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate better with staff.

    Cons

Upper management thinks they are smarter than they really are and don't understand Hollywood.
