I worked at LiftFund full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits. Yearly raise evaluation based on job performance.

    Cons

No advancement. Loan Processor handles all the following tasks: customer service, handling of organization inbound calls, acts as a Loan Officer in qualifying customers for certain loan products criteria, take phone payments over phone, handle change of bank draft accounts, technical assistance, closing loans, etc. This position holds a lot of responsibility and accountability for the title.

    Advice to Management

Loan Officers need to appreciate their right hand coworkers with a little more apppreciation.

I have been working at LiftFund (More than a year)

    Pros

The people that work there are great! They are always working together to the common goal of providing financing to the small businesses that larger banks will not fund. I have learned what happens behind the scenes when applying a business loan.

    Cons

Not a whole lot of positions to move up in. It is either a loan processor, loan officer or supervisor.

    Pros

Great professional development: we spent time with Clifton Strengths Finder and hired a consultant to help make LiftFund a great place to work. We discussed how to improve engagement and connect to the mission of helping businesses build their credit. Outstanding benefits package with 401(k) matching, health insurance, and prepaid FSA account. LiftFund definitely has a culture that fosters teamwork, excellence, fairness, and accountability. Superb leadership.

    Cons

Working for a nonprofit necessitates taking on responsibility beyond your typical role. There was also the challenge of balancing mission objectives and committing resources to priorities.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in infrastructure and efficiency because it is LiftFund's defining characteristic in the industry.
