I have been working at Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are alot of great people working here and for the most part management listens to what you have to say.

    Cons

Management can be very bad at conveying what they want.

    Advice to Management

Work on your delivery when telling your team what you want.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Free breakfast every Friday.
    Good insurance benefits.
A generous number of paid holidays.
    Lots of really nice people.
Barbecues and luncheons every few months.

    Cons

The Friday breakfasts do not make up for the stress and frustration created by the leadership's lack of integrity. Not only does the executive team not know how to truly lead, but they also neither discipline poor performers nor reward top performers.

If you want to be fairly paid, feel valued as a person and as an employee, and be recognized and rewarded for your contributions, run fast and far away from Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions. It is a house of cards built on a cult-ish foundation with an actual "inner circle" of people who appear to have pledged their lives to the CEO's self-serving aggrandizement cloaked in false humanitarianism.

And if you manage to survive in this climate for 10 long years, don't expect any compensation for your loyalty. All you'll get is a cake and a big hunk of glass shaped like a water droplet (or is it a tear drop?). There won't be any increased vacation days, or any additional 401k matching, or any bonuses, or anything else to reward you for all your contributions.

    Advice to Management

Learn what true leadership means and hold yourselves accountable first and foremost. Then, learn how to communicate value to your employees in a way that is both sincere and tangible.

    Pros

Nice seeing departments work together to resolve issues for common company goals, instead of blaming each other. I don't understand the negative comments about politics, as this is probably the least political company I have ever worked. Some other employers the politics you do matters more than the work you do, but Lighthouse is the opposite. Also, opportunities to advance in a growing company, if desired.

    Cons

Want more company get-togethers, fun to see everybody.

    Advice to Management

Nice to see problems solved by finding the root cause and fixing, without blaming or scapegoating the cause. Please keep this!

I worked at Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions full-time

    Pros

Flextime, casual dress, occasionally there are catered lunches and you are allowed to listen to music via headphones while working.

    Cons

Instructions/expectations are given verbally and often change hourly, no reviews, no raises, management remain tightlipped or reveal false promises. Extremely political and cliquey environment - bears similarities to middle or high school. If you're a hard worker you get selected for overtime while the incompetent do not; if you are a technician and you suggest an improvement for a product or procedure you are NOT compensated. You have to sign a terribly restrictive contract and relinquish certain rights which are not limited to; forbidden to work in similar industry for one year after employment ends, either voluntary or involuntary.
