I have been working at Lincare Holdings full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great Initial investment and training

    Cons

Lack of investment in any position for long term retention, push you to succede but wont give you tools to do so, upper management is too far removed from their main buisness, unclear on expectations. Your coworkers that leave are the ones you want to stay and the only ones you want to stay that do are the ones who literally cant afford to leave.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your people, the only emplyees staying are the ones you dont want

I have been working at Lincare Holdings full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I love the people I work with here and helping the patients.

    Cons

A lot of under trained employees makes your job harder than it has to be and very minimal raises on a "13" month basis... If they get around to your evaluation.

I worked at Lincare Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

good experience in to medical sales. Nice 2 week vacation..uh, training in FL

    Cons

base salary is low. Commission is difficult to get due to the hoops managed care has created to qualify for reimbursement. Turnover is very high due to the cons of the job. Anybody at the center level is treated like a #, what have you done for me lately, more more more with inadequate tools provided to produce.

    Advice to Management

You may retain some quality employees if you "care" a little more about the center level employees.

    Pros

Absolutely love my co-workers and forming relationships with patients even if it's through the phone.

    Cons

They expect to much from you and don't give you enough hours to do so. Sometimes working long hours even though office hours are 8-5 Monday-Friday. Some weekends you are expected to work as well.

    Pros

Coworkers are fantastic! Communication is top notch.

    Cons

Upper Management cares ZERO about you. Same trainings over and over. It's all about money and growth NOT the patients.

I have been working at Lincare Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great field to work in.

    Cons

Horrible company to work for. Politics run high in the company, to the extent of corporate figures absolutely ignoring and walking all over the “small guys”. As a regular employee, you will see outrageous quotas to meet, which are being enforced in very unhealthy ways. The biggest issue being, you are very underpaid for what you do. You will see this ever so clearly when you work alongside and encounter pharmaceutical reps who have half the workload, twice the pay, and are working for a company that values them, unlike Lincare.

    Advice to Management

Invest more of your time caring about the employees who make the company what it is, instead of fixing on some close-minded database on a computer screen.
