    Pros

    Pay is OK, great if you are in a competitive bid area. It is good experience to be used as a stepping stone to a better job. Benefits are good and the positive difference you are able to make in peoples lives is one of those bonuses you can't really quantify. Most of the people you deal with have a progressive, terminal disease and what you are able to do for them makes a real impact on their quality of life.

    Cons

    Treat employees like dirt leading to high turnover (50 to 80% depending on the position). You are constantly compared to areas with unfair advantages (competitive bid areas). Upper management doesn't care if regional or district managers treat employees poorly. They demoted the manager before me, even though all of his numbers were up that year (the awards were still on the wall when I started), because the district manager didn't like him. Corporate will do everything not to pay commissions or expenses. They refused to let me use my vacation and then took away my leftover days because I didn't use them in time. It is a lot like working for a company from the 1950's. The corporate culture creates an environment where you can't trust anyone. They will all stab you in the back, or sell you out, to keep corporate heat of their backsides. I felt like I had to constantly live in fear of being fired at any moment. They only know how to lead through fear. Not very innovative and they use an antiquated computer system. If you have a choice, work for someone else. I was never so happy to quit any job in my life as I was when I put my keys down and walked out that door for the last time.

    Advice to Management

    Quit treating people like their disposable. You would think that with the insane turnover rate you have you'd look in the mirror. When I left there was 100% turnover of center managers in 1 year in my district. In my 2 years with Lincare there were 13 different center managers in 5 locations. It would be easy to dismiss as bad hires, but a 260% manager turnover rate and a 50 to 80% overall annual turnover rate is a monument to your hubris.

    Give the bonuses to your employees instead of putting it in your own pocket.

    once the Company was bought out by a German company, the started weeding out all the older employees who worked their way up to a decent pay after all those yrs of service.

    Customer Service department has friendly co-workers

    Cons

    Management has no organizational skills and there is a lot of work to get done with no time to complete all your tasks. Technology is old and outdated and the payscale is way too low for the work needing to be completed. Hostile work environment that causes a lot of employees to become stressed out and overwhelmed. High turnover rate. No incentives for being top performer within the center as well as no recognition for quality work/high stats!

    Advice to Management

    This location needs to replace the management as she has no compassion for people and does not set realistic goals and expectations. There is no structure within the group!

    Pros

    The only thing I liked were my co workers. Also the Drivers were good as well. Loved working for my supervisor

    Cons

    Lack of communication. Upper management not willing to help in sales. Down grade people at any given moment. Had there picks.

    Meet nice people out in the field

    Cons

    Management is horrible, moral at the center is very low, no loyalty, very cut-throat. Management is held accountable for NOTHING while the employees are held accountable for EVERYTHING.

    Advice to Management

    Respect your employees as they are the ones that bring in and maintain the business. No good employees means no good business.

    Pros

    You get to attempt to take care of patients if management will allow you to.
    The benefits are ok but not great.
    They don't pay sales staff timely.

    Cons

    No one wants to hear your opinion.
    It's all about the dollar.
    They do not care about their staff.
    You're penalized for asking questions.
    Their budgeting and book keeping aren't accurate.
    Then vacation is good but you can't use it because there is no one to cover.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your staff. You have some good people in the field with great ideas.
    Get to know the employees from your acquisitions... they could be awesome staff.
    It's ok to let people work from home sometimes, you can get a lot done.
    Trust your staff. You hired them
    So let them do their job.

    Shouldn't of outsourced my job to Guatemala.

    Pros

    Very rewarding job. Meeting new patients, setting up patients on oxygen, becoming friends with patients and family.

    Cons

    Just trying to get to everyone in the same day. Long hours for reasonable pay. Lots of training especially the driving training and learning where to go.
