I have been working at Lincoln Financial Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits. People aren't awful to work with, but they aren't raising the pay to match the industry so it's causing traffic jams in people moving up.
It's the only way to get better money.

    Cons

Start with awful pay. They force you to work crappy hours and say you will only be there for a short period of time, but it's probably not true.
They claim it's easy to move up, but you really need to play the system to be able to do it.

I have been working at Lincoln Financial Group part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

401k match is great and training is great

    Cons

Management is poor at communnicating. I can not count how many times something would come up and I wouldn't know about it. Also they will tell you, you are going to get paid for holiday hours, but you won't if your work part time under 20 hours and they specifically keep you at 19 hours for that exact reason.

    Advice to Management

Would Honest Abe, the man we model ourselves after, really do something that intentionally pays employees as little as possible?

I have been working at Lincoln Financial Group full-time

    Pros

There are some great front-line people at Lincoln. There is also a great sense of cooperation and collaboration. You learn to do a lot with a little. Everyone wants to do the right thing.

    Cons

There has been a lot of turmoil in the IRD management team. People have been let go and there's minimal communication from senior management. No one knows whether LFG is going to move forward, or prep the business to sell it off. People are worried about their jobs. It also seems like there's not a good feel for management knowing what is going on in the field - there's no forum to push info back up the ladder.

    Advice to Management

You have a lot of experienced people in client facing roles. Listen to what they are telling you. It will save you a lot of grief in the long run.
