A great company that helps employees

    Feb 17, 2019 - Software Developer
    Recommend

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Lincoln Financial has a great work life balance, in IT at least. Work from home is flexible and allowed to be used when desired. The company offers/sponsors very competitive benefits packages, including pet insurance. IT Senior management appears devoted to transparency, with weekly Q&A sessions.

    Cons

The paid time off accrual is a little lower than some other competitors. Bonus amounts are good but there are irregularities between who earns what size of bonus.

They are a great company to work for - you can work from home when you need to and they understand that work is done during business hours. If you happen to answer emails at night, that's fine, but it's never expected.

We closed out Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month by highlighting our Asian American Business Resource Group (BRG). The mission of the BRG is to support our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, for Asian Americans in the workplace, marketplace and community. The BRG celebrates throughout the year with various events, including a partnership with our Multicultural Awareness Committee to honor the Lunar New Year. In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month, the BRG and employees in our headquarters created a team for the Dragon Boat Race that takes place in Philadelphia on June 3! Dragon Boat Racing is an ancient competition thought to date back more than 2,500 years having originated in southern Central China. We will be cheering them on! The Asian American BRG also hosted a signature event this month featuring Ms. Lei Wang, the first Asian woman to complete the Explorers Grand Slam which includes climbing the seven summits and skiing to the north and south poles! This past weekend was the 6th Annual Eagles Autism Challenge at Lincoln Financial Field! As the founding sponsor, our employees came out in full force raising over $100k (and counting!) and got together to walk, run, and ride for autism awareness, research, and community programs! We are so proud of #TeamLincoln, and grateful to have such an incredible partner in the Philadelphia Eagles, who continue to make a difference in our community.
