AS with most schools, pay and supervisory mgt. skills isn't up to industry levels as far as base pay levelsand quality of leadership making it difficult for good staff and for long term careers.

I worked at Lincoln Tech full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved the students. Treated like a professor at a 4 year college, no micro managing, as long as material on syllabus was covered, you could have class anyway you wanted

    Cons

They closed my location!!!!! THE students were at times misinformed about financial things, their loans, grants, and stipends. And not always given the support they were promised to find a job after graduating.

    Advice to Management

Be honest with s ty udents about theiir financial obligations. Do some sort of better screening upon admissiin to weed out the ones who are there for a stipend only.

I worked at Lincoln Tech full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The school is centered around the students success
    Long-standing reputation with employers
I have worked for other trade schools and Lincoln definitely is the most ethical of the bunch

    Cons

    Low pay for industry
While the school does have a great reputation- pay your people a little more.
Trade schools are getting a bad rep because of Corinthian and UTI

    Advice to Management

Keep focusing on the student but also focus on the people that educate the students. Even though the pay is low, one of the employers offered me a job with Tesla

I worked at Lincoln Tech (More than a year)

    Pros

I truly enjoyed working under my supervisor. She was so helpful with bringing me up to speed as to the best way to go about my duties.

    Cons

The manner in which they phased us out was less than classy. We all know change of ownership heralds new methods. We deserved better than we got.

    Advice to Management

I have no advice for the current management as they are no longer to my understanding. However I would move General Education courses throughout the week instead of blocking together.
