I worked at Lincoln Tech full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Most of the instructors have a wealth of knowledge and really care about the students.

    Cons

Everything else! The pay is horrible! Management doesn't care about the students - they are just a number.

    Advice to Management

Best advice - start over with new management! Lincoln used to be a great place to work, until the new management took over in 2016. Get management that will focus and care about the students, and value their staff and instructors!

I worked at Lincoln Tech full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers, hardworking students, and a free lunch about once a month

    Cons

Bug/cleaning problems, very high turnover, micromanaged, and poor management

    Advice to Management

Clean the Nashville campus and improve staff morale by actually addressing the issues in the office. Treat the students and graduates more like people and less like numbers/placements.

I have been working at Lincoln Tech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Compensation package is good combining salary and mileage | Health care is horrible; 5000 deductible.

    Cons

Typical for-profit school - Treating students as numbers, everyday mass texts and emails are sent out to field reps asking how many enrollments will you have by the end of the week. The school is aiming to start 3000 high school students by next year - the investment is large in the high school program, and field reps are starting to get desperate by harassing high school students to enroll. In addition, there are no degree programs, just certificates.

    Advice to Management

The entire organization is a HR nightmare. Most are military recruiters who act as though they are used car salesmen - The only difference is they are pushing to sell certificate programs that will not transfer to students in high schools. Stop while your organization can still be saved, this will be the next for-profit school demise as field reps continue to get desperate for numbers (students).

I worked at Lincoln Tech full-time

    Pros

Good place to get foot in the door.

    Cons

Management let gossip take over. Everyone is passive aggressive instead of handling problems directly. Management is secretive. Management goes out to lunch after firing employees to celebrate. Campus president tries to use manipulation to control employees. Favoritism!!!

    Advice to Management

    Grow up

    Pros

Helping people develop the skills to have a great career and better life.

    Cons

Pretty much everything else, benefits are so-so, instructors are considered beneath management and replaceable. You won't get 40 hours unless you work day and night classes, no prep time and that's why you have to work day and night to make 40.

    Advice to Management

Have quarterly open meetings with all employees, ask for input before implementing changes or plans. Increase working hours and prep time between classes, increase security.

    Pros

The students were a pleasure to serve, usually.

    Cons

Horrible Management, Extremely Underpaid, Use and abuse the "little" people. HR allows inappropriate behavior from higher ups to go unpunished.

    Pros

Location but nothing else to speak of as its a snake pit and the worst job I have ever had.

    Cons

Horrible management who bullies and shamed employees. Worst outfit Ive seen in a very long time. Random drug testing for students when a marijuana plant is right next to the school in CO.

    Advice to Management

Close up shop you should be embarrassed of how you treat employees.

    Pros

It was a joy to work with other professionals dedicated to helping these students achieve their goals.

    Cons

Management was more interested in profits than in providing a quality education. The students did not get what they paid for, and both students and staff were exploited.
