Disorganized, Incompetent RUN AWAY!
Jan 11, 2023 - Software Engineer in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
This company is so averse to constructive feedback and improvement you can do a bad job for years and get amazing performance reviews. You don't have to worry about building code that works under load or is secure. As long as you drink the cool aid and praise everyone for their "amazing" work.
Cons
HUGE backlogs of bugs and tech debt that will never be fixed. Out of touch management who know nothing about the platform. Product roadmaps change on the drop of a hat from upper level management. Constant outages and fire drills due to years of neglected infrastructure and applications. Association with toxic pornography / adult content that comprises most of the Second Life service.

Tilia is truly a great company to work for.
Oct 17, 2022 - Director of Compliance in Dublin, DublinRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
My experience with Tilia so far has been highly positive and constructive in many respects. I had a great onboarding experience explaining the ins and outs of the company. The company is very attentive and kind to its employees and I personally feel that Tilia cares for my well-being and my personal and career growth and development which makes for a great company culture. The work ethic within the company is fantastic. Working for Tilia feels very inclusive. I feel that Tilia have perfected the art of working remotely and creating such a positive company culture. Teams are super knowledgeable and collaborative which is complimented by a company culture that empowers you with the tools and space to work. You are empowered to make your own decisions and create your own processes and procedures. The vision is clear and the drive and determination is evident across the board. I can highly recommend Tilia to any financial services professional who wants to be part of a great journey. There is an exceptional leadership team here which helps you realize your potential and deliver excellence. Tilia is truly a great company to work for.
Cons
None that I can see

Company is disorganized, does not take harassment seriously
Oct 13, 2022 - Marketing SpecialistRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The pay is pretty decent, benefits are good and they give annual raises
Cons
I filed a sexual harassment complaint, complete with photographic evidence of bruises. They found that no company policy had been violated. So I quit. Linden Lab pays a lot of lip service to being socially progressive, but responses like this are part of why women are so reluctant to come forward. Absolutely shameful.

A dumpster fire of incompetence and greed
Dec 21, 2021 - Computer Programmer in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Ebbe Altberg as visionary, board members only cared about $$
Cons
Laid off with little to no warning, when company sold but other people in office knew about it before I and others did Little to no organization, division of authority makes you not even know what you will be working on the next day Division in the ranks, employees don't want to help each other Social politics governing decisions, favouritism and abusive treatment of employees who 'don't fit in' Underpaid overworked
