I worked at Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They were flexible with time and emergencies, most of your coworkers are nice and down to earth.

    Cons

Management needs to make sure they go and take some classes on how to be better leaders. Horrible sense of teamwork, everyone is out to get each other and attorneys/managers treat assistants extremely bad.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to be better leaders and work with your teams better. Take some actual management classes.

I worked at Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

2 - 15 minute breaks, hour lunch, occasional early office closings and getting to leave an hour or two early before holdiays, occasional free office-wide appreciation lunches

    Cons

Bankruptcy department has become a mess. Management is moody and will treat employees according to mood.

Write ups for phones being visible

NO-SPANISH RULE - completely unfair and discrimintory. Short staffing issue for 6 months and we were told NO VACATION TIME would be approved because of the short staff issue.

Management acts like people are disposable and replaceable, even if you have worked the position for 15+ years.

    Also no advancement opportunities.

DO NOT WORK FOR DALLAS BANKRUPTCY!

    Advice to Management

Needs sensitivity training, get new management if current can't learn to keep emotional and personal issues from affecting the way employees are treated.

I worked at Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get a check for your basic survival needs and you will get "tough skin".

    Cons

It is a "cookie cutter firm", you will be disrespected daily, not professional, repetitive (you will get bored fast), high turn over rate, no team work, no organization, benefits suck, pay sucks, and so forth.

In all honesty, if you went through a paralegal certification program or have a bachelor degree in paralegal studies, all of your hard work in school will be in vain. You will not work directly under an attorney, you will not research and analyze cases and codes, you will not brief a case, you will not truly learn the craft of drafting pleadings, discovery questions, or any other documents that pertain to law (get ready to copy and paste). Nothing about this law firm feels like a true law firm...more of a call center atmosphere. RUN!

    Advice to Management

Stop placing unqualified individuals in management roles.
