    "No career opportunities"

    I worked at Lingo24 full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Decent company benefits and medical coverage
    - Flexible working hours with possibility to work remotely
    - Decent pay
    - Pets allowed

    Cons

    - Very limited career opportunities as a PM
    - Miscommunication
    - Conflicts are handled personally
    - Unfair and unjustified workload distribution and pairing system; little help from co-workers when you are overwhelmed
    - Toxic atmosphere inside some of the teams, with minimal support provided to new employees and a very aggressive approach towards their mistakes
    - No encouragement for taking initiative and trying to bring improvements to the existing methodology
    - Certain ways of working are being forced upon new employees, even if those do not suit their work style and limit their productivity
    - Cross-team and cross-department competitiveness, miss-communication and rivalries; there should be more attention awarded in that direction
    - Certain trainings are provided only after you mess something up (which happens, of course, due to lack of training)
    - The 3 months' probation evaluation is 100% subjective and depends only on how you were labeled, regardless of your workload, work quality or ethics
    - Most team coordinators and team leads are professionally unfit and are only occupying that position due to their connections with certain members of the organization - or because of a lack of more suitable options
    - There is a general tendency to pass the blame around and avoid accountability - both inside the same hub and cross-hubs, and inside the management levels.
    - Middle-management and HR are overall uninterested about inter and cross-department issues, especially when it comes to unprofessional and unethical behaviors (personally, I've dealt with unfair accusations and with bullying - both reported to my team lead and HR, and both ending with them telling me that I'm taking things too personal and there's nothing that can be done) - that creates a huge communication gap between the employee and management & HR and only results in the employee's loss of trust and respect

    Advice to Management

    - For middle-management positions you should hire people that have leadership skills and an overall inclination in that direction; positions like team coordinator and team leader should not be considered or treated as a promotion, if the person lacks vital leadership/management hard and soft skills. A team lead and team coordinator should also have a good influence on the team environment and culture and should discourage bullying and toxic/unethical behavior.
    - You should take the employees' complaints and ideas for improvement more seriously.
    - Please take my review in a constructive manner, most of the points highlated in the "cons" section are felt by many other PMs, and there are a lot of good senior PMs that are looking to switch jobs because of these issues and because of the overall lack of trust in management and HR.

"Promising young company but HORRIBLE L24 APAC Management"

    I worked at Lingo24 full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Great company benefits
    - Good pay
    - Work schedule is somehow flexible with an option to work remotely if needed
    - Small group with some professionally minded individual
    - Non-toxic job / work-life balanced is observed

    Cons

    - limited to none career opportunities

    APAC TL and SDD
    - a lot of miscommunication
    - they handle conflicts personally
    - they don't take feedback professionally
    - minimal to none support given to employees
    - inconsistent information between TL and SDD
    - unfair account distribution between Junior PMs and Senior PMs
    - never proactive with suggestions presented and keep blaming other hubs instead
    - most of the time, they only conduct 1:1 coaching when you're at fault or if they feel something is wrong
    - 2016 was a challenging year for everyone but it's very unprofessional for the management to start making assumptions that the company might shut down before the year ends and to start looking for better opportunities instead without keeping in mind the negative impact to other employees.
    - you can feel a huge gap between management and employees
    - a lot of awkwardness in the office whenever there are pressing issues
    - tells non-regular employees that their regularization is highly dependent on what she writes in their evaluation, although it is said as a joke, it does not set a good example to the team
    - we never get to evaluate both TL and SDD performance

    Advice to Management

The company should hire leaders who share the same vision. People who have great management style, effective leadership and know the real meaning of ONE TEAM. You may hire random people because of what you see on the paper or how they perfectly answer you or present themselves during interview, maybe this time you should consider focusing more on their attitude and their work commitment.

    I worked at Lingo24 full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Plentiful holiday credits
    - Flexibility to work from home
    - Close knit environment
    - Work allows you to grow your network
    - Good health benfits

    Cons

Lingo24 has different offices but project managers are located in Romania, Panama and Philippines:
    - a lot of retention happening lately

    Below are only for APAC:
    - Conflicts felt as soon as new head and a team leader were put in place. They had conflicting information and always pointed fingers to someone else when they realize they're wrong. Worse, they pretend they never gave out such information. They always make "miscommunication" an excuse, which in itself is something that do not speak well of their management skills. They have a way of speaking to employees that make the latter feel unappreciated and disrespected. They make irrational orders just because they can
    - No support given to team members who have hard time catching up.
    - Huge discrepancy in pays between employees.
    - Inconsistency in implementation of rules. It depends on what is favorable to the management or those close to the management.

    Advice to Management

Lingo24 is being ran by a sincere man with good vision. It's unfortunate that bad management has become a reflection of the company in the eyes of employees. For the global management, do not only encourage the employees to speak, but do something about it when they do actually speak. Employees, regardless if they are new or senior, should never be made to feel like they are easily replaceable.

    I worked at Lingo24 full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Management open to new ideas and improvements. You are encouraged to add new technologies to the project or whatever is needed to make it better, but you need to have the initiative. Management does not impose this, so it's up you your team. If this does not happen then you can end up working with outdated codebase.
    - salary above market average
    - 7 flexible working hours
    - lots of vacation days
    - relaxed working atmosphere
    - friendly colleagues

    Cons

    - not many project opportunities (2, 3 internal projects to choose from)
    - not many career promotion opportunities
    - no external training opportunity
    - desks and chairs are old and not that great
    - computers not frequently updated; it can end up very outdated;
    - there was a not that great period in Lingo24 in 2016 when many things changed and some of the older employees still feel it, but now company seems to be on the right track (or so they say ;)
