    Cons

Change in management changed the entire culture.

    Advice to Management

Be good as good and loyal to your employees as they are to you. It will pay off in the long run.

    Pros

Decent working environment (if you're in the right building), good benefits, onsite cafeteria, competitive pay, there is a new YMCA right next door, and everyone gets a free turkey for Thanksgiving.

    Cons

This a personal example, but the dept. I worked in had a very negative vibe, and there was not much room for growth for my particular position and experience.

    Advice to Management

Take a more individualized approach to understanding the challenges in your department.

    Pros

Good place to learn a lot of different types of manufacturing.

    Cons

Hmm where to start. They fail to see and reward valuable employees. They are just heads to eliminate for cost savings. No performance based reward. They will fire you as soon as you run out of personal time even if legitimate medical reason for absence. They keep crappy under performers as long as they show up. They steal hourly employees time. 1 minute late equals 1/2 hour personal time. You have to work 1/2 hour over your scheduled time before overtime kicks in. Jobs often requires working through breaks but no pay.

    Advice to Management

Stop nickel and diming your employees to save a buck. Stop trying to drive your business through cost savings with little effort toward growth. Give employees raises not 1 time bonuses. Get some middle management so you actually no what is going on. Share the Org goals and structure. Nobody knows what there responsible for and this is constantly changing.

I worked at Linvatec full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They give a lot of time off between vacations, personal time, and holidays.

    Cons

You do not feel appreciated by this company. My manager did not do anything to help me do my job and I was left feeling frustrated.

    Advice to Management

Senior management does not have a clue as to what is happening in this company. They need to listen to all employees no matter what pay grade.

I have been working at Linvatec full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Company gives two weeks off the first year as well as six personal days. The company also has a pretty good 401K plan with match up to seven percent.

    Cons

Can not advance with company unless you know the right people. They continuously hire from outside even though they will tell you that they like to promote from with in.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees as dummies.

I have been working at Linvatec full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You can take a day off without a problem

    Cons

The management there is not open to new ideas and don't listen to any advices. They can ask you to leave the company , just because you didn't say hello or goodbye or just because you looked somebody in a strange way. Instead of working they form different groups, share intrigues and gossips and if you are outsider then you will have to leave. They don’t feel like if you have more knowledge or fresh ideas, you will succeed , they feel like the emotions are the first and the main thing that will lead you to be successful within the company.

    Advice to Management

Send your managers to some management courses because regardless of how good engineer they are, they still are far from being managers. Soon you will lose many quality employees if you continue with the same managers.

    Pros

Paid time off including vacation, personal & holiday are above average. Health benefits for a company this size are reasonable.

    Cons

Very old, non-progressive management style. As was said before, stuck in a 20+ year ago mentality. No balance for work/home life, no individual respect. More "rules" with no flexibility than I have ever seen in my past 30+ working years.

    Advice to Management

Start looking at inovative ways to motivate & retain employees rather than using fear. Drop the whole "Coach" & "Area Owner" management style and start recognizing individual performance.
