I worked at Lion Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

At least a listed group. The size is there. So shouldn't be too bad if a fresh grad decided to join provided they couldn't get better offers outside.

    Cons

    Politics overload. No joke.

    Advice to Management

The boss please wake up. High management overriding EVERYTHING.

I have been working at Lion Group as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am currently doing my internship with Lion Group and I am able to gain valuable exposure from its diversified business. The tasks given to me are totally related to my field of study and it helps me to understand better on things that I have learned throughout my degree years. On top of that, people in my department are very helpful and friendly.

    Cons

The office is located at the heart of KL so the living cost is very expensive for a student.

    Advice to Management

Increase the internship allowance since the living cost in KL is expensive for student.

Great Working environment and growth opportunity. Able to have work life balance. Perks are good, can be better.

I have been working at Lion Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Active sports and recreational activities in HQ, KL office. Highlights: The weekly aerobics and yoga sessions are excellent to keeping fit (without the hassle of facing KL traffic). Dinners are organised to celebrate some of Malaysia's festivities and to just let our hair down! Interesting lunch and learn topics have been organised.
Occasional sales of merchandise with discounts for employees.

    Cons

Long, rigid working hours. A bit silo'd in departments. Then again, this is very much dependant on Line Managers as anywhere else (in other Companies). The Company can do more with improving its employee engagements.

    Advice to Management

With HQ in close proximity to the golden triangle, it is not surprising that you have to go through massive traffic jams to and from work. Flexi working arrangement ought to be seriously considered to attract and retain talents.
